Sounds like a rich soil mix. Should be good for at least a few weeks, maybe a month. Some growers take it to harvest with nothing but the OF soil and a few things mixed into the soil. The more experienced can probably give a more precise answer.

they look alot better now...... just do what your doin and wait for that soil to almost dry and they wont slow down at all!!!! they will go very fast from here! That foxfarm is GOOD shit so wait till they are very pretty and healthy to start with nutes.
(a week maybe...?) use foxfarm nutes if you can , they are the shit too!!! follow the nute directions and just start them on a very week diet then jump it up after a week. GOOD LUCK!

What's up people? I thought I'd update the few of you on the little ones. There looking great and seem to be growing well so far. I haven't started them on any nutes as of yet, I figured the fox farm soil would help them along for awhile. You recommended going with fox farm nutes as well, are there particular ones that i need to look for?? I plan a journey to my local grow store in the near future after a next pay day. I looked in to them a little and could only find GROW and BLOOM ones..?? I had to re-locate closets check the new set up and growth.

it is not sketch, its fine , you might want to intensify the light WHEN u switch over to flower but for now it is just fine. your doin alot better then most first timers

Thanks for all your help my friends! I picked up the Foxfarm Grow big today, I didn't have enough dough on me for the other 2 formulas. Do you suggest I try to get all 3 or do you think that I'd be fine with the Grow Big and Big Bloom ones? The little ones are starting to grow rather quickly, seems like inches per day.
One other question that I had was concerning power? My bill increased $30 from the month that I started the op. This is a 33% jump in the bill. Is this a noticeable increase, should I be worried about it. I've read and heard that as long as you pay your bill in full each month there should be nothing to worry about.

some times the power people will call u JUST to alert u that ur bill has went up 33% JUST to make sure you know about it...... that way if someone was stealing power from u, you would know about it. BUT THATS ALL! your bill is so low they wouldnt even care or think about THAT at all.!

Its time for an update on the growth of the little ladies..
Well I have been feeding them the FoxFarm Growbig when watering the last 2 times thus far. They are all getting so big. I think that they are ending there veg stage and about to begin the flower. It has been about 8 weeks since germination, they've been in veg for a good 6-5 weeks now. I've only given them the Grow Big and haven't mix in any Big Bloom yet.
I've been looking inside close to the main stem for signs of sex. I've concluded that 1 is defiantly male, 1 is defiantly female and the other I am not so sure about. The dude is the tallest thus far (9in), he also has several little ball sacks developing at the nodes?.. The bushy one is the for sure a lady, she has the little hairs developing in between branches. The last one (skinny one) I'm not too sure about, I have seen a few tiny hairs developing on this one, but there are also areas where little ball clusters are forming. I tried to get some pics, but my camera does do a macro so they came out all shitty. I have separated the male from the other 2, in a different rooms closet. The 2 possible ladies I want to keep under 3 feet tall (about 8 inches now), on account of space. Do you all think that its time to start the 12/12 schedule?
A few other questions I've got at this stage...
1) Is there any risk leaving the unknown in with the female?
2) If Im starting to see the pre-sex signs when should I begin 12/12?
3) What nutes schedule should I be at? Since I started them on nutes late.
4) What should I do with the male?

#1 i cant see the pics enough myself to tell but i'll believe u !
Q #1 as long as the balls aint popped yet then they are fine together, but if u know one is a male then hurry up an dispose of it.
Q #2 you can start flowering WHENEVER you want to.... u dont have to wait till you know if there are male an female....most folks cant even tell without flowering them....It is really hard to determine sex with JUST pre-flowers. Those particular plants look like they will get about double their size in flower .... maybe more? so I would flower now just to see what i am workin with. (i always keep a sister for a mother just in case its somthin above an beyond!
Q #3 Grow big: go with 2 to 3 tsp per gallon and Bloom: go with 2 TB per gallon every other watering and see how that works for you. then after a week or so we jump it up or maybe even down....... not sure till we try..
Q #4 TRASH THE MALE...... if one single "ball" pops anywhere around your females , they will get seeded.......it will ruin her !
My camera is the same way... it sucks , so be VERY carefull with males or possible males.........

Sweet thanks. Im gonna start them on the 12/12 tomorrow after I pick up a few more supplies, got to make sure no light is gonna get to them during the dark half.
You suggested that I add more lights when I switch to flower... Would one more do it with just 2 plants? That would be 3 28Watt cfls, and the 2 T8 40watt floros, would that be enough for 1-2 during the flower? I heard some people will leave the lights on 24hs, before switching, other do things different? Do you suggest a particular method to make the transition?

The only way to really flower with cfl's is to put a bulb over every single spot u can find . you wanna get those plants drowned in light...........seriously the more the better. I have been watchin someone else use cfl's and his shit needed 6 bulbs for one plant and to me it still wasnt enough but it was a big bud though..... so just add as many as u can ....... and make sure 60 or 70% of the light in flower is 2700k. 2700k is alot more yellow and red for flowering and the 6500k are full of blues for veg.

I changed my set up a little bit. The Male is dead (had to kill him), the Hermy has been taken in by a friend. So all I'm left with the the Female. I got a little wire shelving unit at wal-mart the other night. My buddy took the Flouro tubes back, so I currently have 5 CFL bulbs on the 1 female. I got a big 42 watter (2700K, 2600 lumens) over the top of the plant. I got 2 26 watt (2700 K 1700 lumens) and 2 18 watt (2700K 1200 lumens) on the sides, I got y-splitters for the clamp lights, so 1 26Watt+ 1 18Watt on each side. Ill get some pics up soon, don't want deal with my shitty camera tonight.
She has been on the 12/12 for little over a week now. The pistols at the nodes are starting to sprout more and more bud sites. I've been giving her both the grown and bloom every other watering, until recently... The last 2 times I watered I also feed nutes. I noticed on the fox farm feed schedule you stop using the grow and only use the bloom after awhile?? Is this right and when??
Any feed back on the lighting is nice... Will this be enough to pull decent buds off when its time for harvest?

Yeah it is nomal for them to fall off and you are prolly overwatering your plants making them look droopy! They also need oxygen to breathe!

Does anyone know if it would be worth it to attempt to take a few clones from the bottom smallest budding branches on the lady? I have like 3 really small branches with a few buds forming and wanted to remove them so the plant puts more energy into the other bigger buds. If I got rooting gel and some rockwool cubes would they take root and re-vert back to veg growth. Any insight helps.
