pic 1 bottom left corner by the little plant/ grass seedling green all through thereI don't see algae? I do see some weeds (no pun intended) sprouting around the edges of the cups-
And...the plants don't -look- overwatered.
Curious about the soil but the kids look happygood luck!

thats why i quit using 5 gals, if you get heavy handed with the water the tap wont spread like it should and they stunt or stall

I'm still wondering what the soil is - since its obviously got other seeds in it....and not a lot of perlite.
OP, how does the soil drain when watering?

32" monitor it kinda stuck out at me
No buckets are all adout 20lbs and they drain well. There is a layer about 2in thick of porous rock at the bottom to help with draining and to keep drain holes from plugging up. Soil is organic composted forest, Guano, wormcastings, sphagnam, and some perlite.
