First ISO Oil/Hash? What is it?

If your not storing it for a while some prefer storing it at room temp or heating it to get some..makes getting a dab easier

I've never experienced crackling from moisture getting in, and I often just put my purging dish in the freezer and take dabs out of there..but condensation could make its way in, I prefer frozen to preserve flavor and high as much as possible(not that it would make too much difference)

If you store it in the freezer, be sure to cover it. The moisture Will get into your oil. Causes some crackle when burning, nothing life threatening..

If you plan on smoking all of it within the next month. Just let it sit in a nice dry spot. You might notice it continue to dry out..

Second batch. Let it go longer and froze right after. Then scraped it up.

A proper iso extraction yields shatter sometimes wax especially if heated...goo is contamination
let it dry completely before scraping ..must be thin film

Frozen iso and frozen bud. Either pour through as if running bho or you can fill mason jar with weed then fill to top of weed with iso and pour
no shaking...prefably no cuts either, run larf whole if you can..evapping without heat yields best so does premie bud..
Filtration is important in clarity and texture

Nice pull, Flaming Pie.. I am thinking you found out, but, wax paper/freezer... that is the best way to store ISO, imo..

keep all handlings short and immediately after removing from freezer. Then get it right back to the freezer. Like that, it handles very easily. Just 5 mins out of the freezer and you have a MESS on your hands..

I swear, that shit ends up all over me just from looking at it.

ISO goes great in an e cig by the way... with a few other ingredients..

It shouldn't be sticky at all to the touch....I keep much of mine at room temp and use a small "cocaine spoon" my smoke shop sells. It stays like that powder

Yeah, my shit is sticky. Prbly cause I swirl a little bit in a jar..

I'll have to try a no shake, no heat, slow evap... sounds like it is the way to get quality.
I'm pretty new to iso. Totally into it though.. love the iso..

Mine isn't sticky either, and I'd opt for parchment paper in lieu of wax paper. I usually whip my iso oil under heat a bit, and it cools to a hard and non-sticky wax. Then I just break of tiny dabs as I need them.

Parchment because it is exposed to heat from the hot oil?

Parchment/wax paper is no good...unless non coated

Goop is contamination? what does that mean?

The cannabinoids based on their molecular weight (and imf's)are solids at room temp, making up "shatter"...for precursory cannabinoids, plant alkaloids, ect ect to move about the plant they must be polar..letting your iso mix sit in the bud too long will leave you with a dark sludge made up of these components ..like dissolves like so the cannabinoids are pulled first and fastest especially in cold temperatures ....I could go a little deeper but that's basically it......these liquid at room temp/polar water soluble compounds make up the sludge..

Thc also prefers to stick to itself. I use a micron syringe to filter and that keeps the oil crisp and not sticky at all..

So is my first batch contaminated and the second batch is pure (or more pure than first)?

I could still melt it over a bud and smoke it right?

Yea, still good to smoke..might not taste quite as good

Another question. Is the second batch good to store in a tiny jar now? Or will it mold?

I just wrapped the first batch in some wax paper.
