First Grow! White Widow MAX & Afghan x Mazar! 1 week days old

hey wats good everyone! ive been around this website for a while and ive tried to pick up as much info as i can. i finally went out and bought some cfls and got some good seeds. i germinated my seeds and i put them in 1 inch rock wool cubes. they sprouted in 2 days, and as soon as got a little bigger i put them in biobizz all mix soil.. im using 8 23 watt cfls with y splitter. i put the little babys in cd covers for now... i got a timer and im giving them 18/6 light right now.. in total these babys are around 1 week old.. im growing 2 white widow max seeds, 1 afghan x mazar, and 1 mystery seed that a friend gave to me.. here are some pics of my set up and wat i got so far.. comments or suggestions are welcome.. oh by the way im watering them once every 2 days... constructive criticism is welcom!

you might want to cover the cd toppers with some sort of wrapping as you dont want the roots getting any light

oh yeah thanks bro that makes sense... if light hits the roots is that bad??
and how long can i leave my plants in these trays before i need a bigger pot??

depends on how big you want your plants you could leave them in there till harvest but i would put some sort of cover over those lcear pots as light can cause root stunting or even damage them wich means tiny arse plants.

hey eddie,lookin good.Are you in the uk and if so where did you get the double light fixtures from?

im gonna wrap duck tape around the cd covers.. and i got 9 feet of head space.. so i want to let my plantts get as big as possible.. maybe 5 feet would be ideal..

hey wats up warkrimers, nope im not from the Uk i live in the US. but i bought the light fixures at wal mart. they were like 2 dollars per y splitter..

you could get those lights a couple of inches closer and tape your pots like the guys said.Wait till you pots go dry and light before watering and things should be good

are those pots standing in water?

yea im gonna put the lights a little closer to the plants.. and im gonna tape the cd covers.. when should i get a bigger pot??

this is my very first grow so im trying to learn the most i can from all u pros!

ok im no pro but i reckon you have around a couple of weeks before you need to repot.If you want them around 5ft you need to put them into flower when theyre around 20-24 inches high..what size pots are you using to finish your grow in?

yeah im only using these cd cases temporarily, im probably going to put these babys in 16inch pots in about a week.. i also added a little fan to give these ladies a light breeze to toughen up the stems... ill have pics up of my little setup 2morrow. these ladies have been growing very fast! its amazing in a way haha.. so do u have any more comments or suggestions? every piece of advice i get from you fellas is greatly appreciated!

theres not much to say really at this point,dont let the temps stray above 85f,keep those cfls as close as you can to them to prevent stretching,only give them water when the soil is dry and the pot go's light(make sure your drainage is good),keep the fan on them 24/7 and last but not least...DONT give them nutes till they need them,infact you probably wont considering your gunna repot in a week or two.....If all go's well in roughly12-14weeks you should have some cronic to smoke =)

haha yeah man i cant wait.
im gonna put some pics up in a few minutes, its pretty much the same set up just an added little fan. how can i have good drainage to my plants??
wat do u recomend? shud i poke holes at the bottom of my cd covers?? or wat is the best way to do it?

ok so now its been about 1 week and 2 days since my babys were put in soil, i had them in rock wool cubes but as soon as they sprouted i put them in the soil.. 2 of the plants are white widow max and 1 is afghan x mazar and one is mystery lol. it was a seed a friend gave to me and he always had some crazy kind of kush so all i know is that its gonna be good hopefully... any of u guys have any suggestions or comments???


this is 6 23watt cfls cool white.. and a little fan blowing on low on them,,,

does anyone know the ideal tempertature for my plants?? i have a little heater that will fit in perfectly in my closet.. it can bring the temperature up to 90 degrees... does anybody know wat the best temperature for my babys??? let me know fellas.. thanks alot!

between 75-80f is what most people recommend.

ok thanks, i need to get a thermometer today, but i think the temp in my closet is about 80 or so... my babys are looking so good, they grow a little bit more each day, ill have new pics of them soon.. by the way i just germinated a few more seeds... they are bagseeds from this one dude that always had the best shit in town... so this shud give me some good plants for sure.. about 20 or so sprouted already and im leaving them there 1 more day so they get a little longer sprout.. man im excited about these babys.. nothing better then knowing that ur growing some white widow in ur closet, just hope i do this properly... so thanks again for the advice... new pics will be posted later today..
