I don't like the White Rhino all that much. Its very Indica but nothing special about it. But it grows well and yields nicely.
I like the Great White Shark by Greenhouse Seeds for an "Indica". Its very numbing and sedative.

For a reason I find Greenhouse Seeds to lack a lot of vigor compared to other breeders. Altho their genetics produce a fine smoke they are more sensitive than seeds from other breeders I grew.
I grow a 8 Mile High by Mandala seeds and this bastard needs nothing but water and it is VERY VERY healthy. My GH seeds needed way more tending.
yeah I saw that you were growing Great White Shark clones again cause you liked it correct?. It definitely sounds nice. And I know what you mean about Green House Seeds, I've never grown any but I've read a lot of journals/threads and they do seem delicate and less vigorous but the end smoke is really nice and makes you wish you grew more haha. And yeah I saw pics of your 8 mile it's a monster!

My Great White Shark is OWESOME - its grows fast, it yields great and the high is very numbing and interesting.
However, mine have some hermie tendencie - it randomly sprouts some male flowers at the end of flowering. Never had a pollination caused by it but I don't want to test it again.

It was the most vigorous out of the 6 GH strains I grew.

hey sorry no update for awhile i've had camera problems. The plants really chunked up this week! I need help on when to start flushing. It's Day 47 of flower and I gave them a full dose of nutes 2 days ago. Should I start flushing next watering? Do they look like they'll be done in less than 3 weeks? I'm almost positive some of the White Rhino's are gonna need to flower longer so maybe they'll get one more dose of nutes. What do you guys think? As of today I'm gonna flush the Northern Lights till harvest unless someone says otherwise.

Earlier this week I went in the garden to find that one of my fans had fallen on a plant during night. It crushed it a little at the time but there is no sign that it ever happened now, just a sticky fan hehe.

Please help if you think the plants are good for flushing or if I should wait. They've been nice up to now and I want to finish them properly. Thanks!

(pics taken on 5/1 on DAY 47 of flowering. I raised some of the outer plants to give them more light. temps are 86 and below with the light on.)

They look great.
You should start flushing when they begin their final swelling, then flush for 7-10 days.
You don't really need a 3 weeks flush.

When you'll become paranoid about your plants having seeds - start flushing.

thank you. yeah i thought they could go a little longer, since barely any hairs have turned red. I read a post where a guy said a week before harvest, his plants hairs are almost entirely red and most of the trichs are cloudy. they're at least a week a from that point so i'll take your advice and feed them throughout this week. thanks for the help!

How strong is the odour of white rhinos? I want to grow a WR, a single plant. I will need odour cotrol for a single plant?

hey cristal. Neither of the plants are outrageously stinky. The White Rhino's are a tad sweeter smelling. I'd say you'd be fine with just 1 WR. All i use for odor control is a couple air fresheners and you can't smell the plants outside of my bedroom. good luck!

Hey man awesome grow. I didn't have time to read the whole thing just the begining and the end. I just started a Nirvana NL and have REALLY bad stretching. This is my second grow in this setup and didn't have this problem the first time, so I'm guessing it is kind of a leggy strain. I start with fluoro too and had then really close, but they were stretching so fast they would actually grow up and around the bulb. How are the stalks? I germ 3-4 weeks indoor then move outside and I'm worried if they are too stretchy they won't be able to handle the weather. What do you think from your experience? I'm really thinking about just canning them. They aren't even a week old and are about 4" tall and are all crooked and can barely hold their own weight. I've used a fan before to strengthen stems but I think these might be beyond repair.

hey sonar thank you very much! This is just my first grow but i agree that the Nirvana NL's are a little leggy. My plants definitely were not as squat and bushy as other indicas i've seen. My stalks are thick enough to hold the plant fine but they're not super thick. I'd say a little thinner than a sharpie at their biggest. If i were you i'd keep them going and see what they do. I think seedlings that do that eventually find their way up but i'm not entirely sure. She really is beautiful though. She needs next to nothing to grow and the buds are really thick. I've heard the smoke is a great couchlock too, i should be finding out myself in a couple weeks! peace.

howdy! not a whole lots gone down this week, they've just been slowly ripening. I gave them their final watering last night, so only fresh water till harvest. 4 of them will for sure be ready but i haven't made up my mind on the others yet. They might get one more feeding but i don't think they're too far behind the others. Maybe a week at most. oh well we'll see.

I'm amazed at how little these smell! I have 8 near ripe marijuana plants in my closet and 1 air freshener can does the trick (if you can find them, these little cans called "california scents" are incredibly strong and last for weeks. i got strawberry).

I'll be posting much more pictures come fun time.

Looks wicked!

However, the NL should have finished by now :S
It seems to me like 3 weeks left for budding and both strains shouldn't get to the 11th week as far as I remember. The White Rhino could go that long, but the NL shouldn't need it.

thanks! yeah i wish the northern lights was done but i was looking at the trichs of the ripest with a microscope for the 1st time tonight and their weren't many amber ones at all. A lot of the hairs are still white as well. I don't know why they're not ready but i don't mind waiting.

ok so i pulled the plants out of the closet for some solo shots. a few plants will be ready in a week i estimate. the others won't be ready for another 2 it would seem. I'm not in any hurry it's just weird that there are so many white hairs still. Does anyone think that there's anything i did to delay harvest? Maybe a nute problem? I guess it's only day 63 but like i said above, 2 more weeks would put some of the plants over 10 weeks flower. I'm just barely starting to see amber trichs on the ripest buds.

(pictures taken on 5/18 on DAY 63 of flowering.)
Northern Lights 1 (LST): this is the ripest of all the plants.

Northern Lights 2: this is my BIG BABY!

Northern Lights 3: all the nl's kinda look the same

Northern Lights 4:

White Rhino 1:
this one has a bunch of medium size buds. I think i topped it poorly

White Rhino 2 (LST): this is the worst looking plant. I think it's a little nute overdose

White Rhino 3: this is the weird looking one that i've been talking about. it's got like big flat ball buds haha. it's way shorter than the others and looking back i guess i should've just gotten rid of it. oh well it looks like it will still produce some decent smoke.

White Rhino 4:

bud from above WR

the big happy family!
