alright, i'll germ all the Shivas and a couple more since i have room. I'm actually going out of town in June so i'm thinking I'm not gonna get anything going till I get back. When I get back I'll start the seeds right away and get a little clone area set up for the Shiva clones.

I actually don't have a veg room but I was thinking of building a little tent to clone/veg them under cfls. If i make it legit enough i could get a perpetual thing going on. But that's a little ways away, I just can't wait for my current babies to be ripe! :weed:

Hey man nice grow! I'm thinking about starting something similar except with a 250w hps. I'm thinking I can do 2-3 plants under a 250w. I have a single low girl auto seed I been holding on to so I'll probably do that and 2 of whatever strain I decide. If you had to chose one or the other would it have been the Northern Lights or the White Widow? I can only do one strain and I'm leaning toward Nirvana's Northern Lights, but their White Widow and Bubblelicious look tempting. What do you think?

hey sonar thanks! 2-3 plants sounds just about perfect under a 250w and you can get them real big n' juicy too. Is this your first grow? I read that both Northern Lights and Bubblelicious are great beginner strains, the White Widow might be a little tougher(but not much since Nirvana seeds are insanely easy to grow!). Both the NL and the Bubble will flower a little faster though. Those all sound nice it's hard to choose haha! Have you checked out the Snow White as well? That looks like some beautiful bud.

Yeah this is pretty much my first grow. I was only suppose to do an outdoor this year, but my friend had a brand new 250w hps for sale really cheap, so I picked it up just to hold on to. Then I was up a relatives house the other day watching a ball game and he said he is down with my doing it at his house since my room isn't big enough for the hps.

I decided to go old school and go with the Northern Lights:bigjoint:
Just placed the order a few hours ago. They say they only ship tuesday and thursday so hopefully they have it processed and get it out tuesday.
I really wanted White Widow but I always hear it needs a bit more attention and since this is my first indoor and it's going to be at someone else's place the NL would be a better choice.

I'm pretty excited! My 7 plants for outside are about a week old and looking nice. I'm going to start a journal for both pretty soon.

Didn't mean to hijack your thread on ya just seemed like you were doing something similar to what I wanna do just on a little bit bigger scale.

no way dude, you didn't hijack anything I've only conversed with a couple people so far so any chat is good!

I'm sure you'll love the Northern Lights. Mine are doing a little better than the White Rhinos. If the White Widow is anything like WR, you're probably much better off doing NL first. Can't wait to see your grow man! Be sure to put a link in your sig so i can find it.

hello. So today is the first day of week 5 and they've seem to bulk up a little in the last week, but not a whole lot. The pictures make them look a little bigger than they are, but they're getting there! The White Rhino that had slow growing tops is really starting to turn on with some buds.

I flushed them in the bath last night. I'm not sure if flushing is necessary with BioCanna but it couldn't hurt. One complaint that i've had and still have is that I would definitely want more drainage. The Black Gold is really clean, good soil, but it just retains a little too much water i think. In the future I'm gonna add some perlite to the mix at first, but I might try a different soil altogether just to see what else is out there.

I added another fan to the light cause it's really starting to heat up outside (and in). I scorched 1 bud the other day, but not too bad. I can't tell if the hairs on some of the buds are burned or starting to darken naturally haha. I put some pics below.

well, that's all for now. Please ask away if you want to know anything else. Also, I'm gonna start posting the pics instead of attaching them.

later!

(pics taken on 4/19, day 35 of Flowering. I'm pretty sure most of the bigger close-ups are Northern Lights, which are considerably larger than the White Rhinos)

Do these last 2 look scorched to anyone? They really weren't too close cause i learned my lesson after the first time but they look similar to the one i scorched.

They look FIRE!
That looks to me like some very minimal scorching. Note that bud mold looks pretty much the same as scorching but usually appear on the sides rather than on the top.

Thanks dude! i'll keep an eye out for any mold. Would you pick the little scorched part off or just leave it?

hey sneek how do you like the nivanna nothern lights??
hello meangreen. So far i REALLY like the Nirvana seeds. They're everything I've read about them as far as being easy to grow. Both the Northern Lights and White Rhino were beautiful seedlings, and were gorgeous in veg. I'm in week 5 flower and only the White Rhinos have showed any yellowing but very minimal (which is cool considering i really don't know what i'm doing yet haha). The Northern Lights are great and i would say just a little easier to manage then the WR. All 4 NL's are at the same stage with some fat buds coming in. The smell from the NL's is weird, it's less marijuana and more rank plant i would say haha. I can't wait to smoke them, i've only heard wonderful things!

cool thanks for putting my mind at ease. yeah, i can just feel the buds about ready to explode! and yes i did LST to 1 White Rhino and 1 Northern Light. The WR did a little better, growing 5-6 nice offshoots where as the NL only developed about 2-3 really big offshoots in the same time. As of right now, for my next grow I'm planning on doing fewer plants in 5gal containers and LST'ing all of them. I'm gonna top them too so all the offshoots are the same height before flower. Are you doing LST too? Do you have a journal so i can see them babes?

hello, the plants have grown a little more this week than last week. They still haven't needed water since i flushed them sunday night. But I'm planning on feeding them tonight when the light turns on. I don't really know what else to say... The majority of the Northern Lights are bigger than the White Rhinos. I like the smell of the White Rhinos more, they have a sweet fruity smell. well thanks for reading have a good day!

The bigger buds are Northern Lights

And these last ones are mainly White Rhino. The one directly below is a close-up of one of the late blooming WR's. All 4 tops on this plant look the same weirdness

They look great, your doing good.

My White Rhinos smell like a skunk and fuel. Nothing sweet or fruity about them, more tangy. I'm growing Greenhouse Seeds version.

thank you! These Nirvana seeds are too easy to grow. Yeah just my weird White Rhino has the powerful sweet smell, with the others it's not as strong. I've heard really good things about the Greenhouse White Rhino smoke. I love White Rhino, I want to grow all the versions and find my favorite. "Medicine Man" from Mr. Nice Seeds is supposed to be White Rhino too. That one looks like the one to try!

I don't like the White Rhino all that much. Its very Indica but nothing special about it. But it grows well and yields nicely.
I like the Great White Shark by Greenhouse Seeds for an "Indica". Its very numbing and sedative.

For a reason I find Greenhouse Seeds to lack a lot of vigor compared to other breeders. Altho their genetics produce a fine smoke they are more sensitive than seeds from other breeders I grew.
I grow a 8 Mile High by Mandala seeds and this bastard needs nothing but water and it is VERY VERY healthy. My GH seeds needed way more tending.
