First Grow Box

Okay so I made a little stealth grow box to put next to my desk.
It's got 6 21w CFLs and a little pc fan wired to a cell phone charger.
It's pretty basic but i was on a tight budget.
I had 3 plants but one of them maled on me.
Please feel free to throw some constructive criticism my way :mrgreen:

Looks really nice and neat man, good to see. I would throw some kind of reflector on each of those CFLs but I like what you've done. Keep us posted.

I've been trying to find out if the pistils mean i should change the timer to 12/12?
It's currently running 20/4.

Hey man yeah i took some today. I kinda gave up on this thread.

They've grown quite a bit but theres not signs of buds yet. I'm not sure if this grows going to work out.I dont know if im struggling cause its a sativa dominant and its my first grow ( I hear they're much more difficult to grow than indica) or cause im using straight tap water and not bothering with ph balance.

hey, nice lst job very tidy and i like your grow box too. that little fan is enough to keep the temps down?? must be fairly cool in your house then, i can't for the life of me get my temps below 31 during the day in my box as my house has no central air. from what i can tell sativa's are fairly picky and hard to grow i know tap water isnt ideal especially if you dont ph check it however my grow has been going alright SO FAR(knock on wood) with only tap water, no ph check and very little nutes. I'm sub'd as i love watching cfl grows keep up the good work :D

Thanks for stopping by man! I am struggling with this sativa strain and my somewhat lacking grow box but it was kind of just a test run before i bought seeds from the net. It doesn't get too warm though cause its winter here and my room can get pretty cold. I know there are 5 things i need to get for my next grow: another cooling fan, an exhaust fan, a ph kit, a temp monitoring device and a indica dominant strain lol.

I dunno man they refuse to flower. And i planted seeds outside at the same time and those plants have had buds for a few weeks now. I'll post some pics of the indoor when i find my camera. I'm thinking of just chucking them and starting over with nirvana seeds.

What did you make the box out of? do you have a pic of the outside? I'm thinking about building, don't know how much cheaper it would be then buying a grow tent.

Dude i just found some wood in my garage and put it together. It doesn't even have a front, i just put it against the side of my desk to close it. But if you can find some wood lying around and do some carpentry it's definitely cheaper. You just need some reflective stuff.
