mvg, my 4 CFLs right now 2700k color temp. the 2700 is better for flowering and the 6500 is better for vegging. but i have also heard that a mixture of both is always better, just more of one kind depending on what stage your in.
This is true, I have 2 5500K and 8 2700k bulbs for my one flowering plants. I think its works very well, you can see the bulbs in this pic...

hey robbie how did you get 4 bulbs coming out of 1 socket. atleast thats what it looks like in the pic. i have 4 bulbs and 2 sockets, each socket has a Y splitter on it.

well here's this weeks update on the one and only plant

still unsure of the sex...i keep looking but i can't see any pistils

other than that it looks like it's starting to get a little stretch to her

you can see in one picture the leaf damage i have going on. i'm not quite sure what it is, maybe someone can help me out on that. I've been thinking it might be lack of food so i gave it a heavy watering tonight.

also i am thiking about dividing up my flowering closet and moving the vegg room into there also. the seedlings are in the attic and with the winter temps outside right now in the 20's the attic doesn't get much warmer than 60-70 degrees F with i'd probably almost no humidity. i know the closet will stay atleast 75 degrees

i just looked at the plant this morning and i can clearly see now that we have a girl!! it's so exciting to finally know now!!

tomorrow will be 2 weeks into flower but its not showing any buds yet? is this normal? i'm thinking about adding 2 40w CFLs because i read somewhere on here that someone said you need 10,000 lumens to induce flowering. i don't believe 10,000 exactly maybe a little less hopefully someone can give me the right answer. but 2 more CFLs is definitly needed.

its a hyrdroponics system .. thats very ez to grow .. and the plants grow atleast 2x faster then in soil hell in some cases ive seen on here 3X faster ... n e who .. all it is to make it ez to say is a tub water with nuets in it.. and net pots in rockwool and hyrdroton (clay pelltes) .. u can get like bundled packs on ebay cheapo that come with ur net pots and hydroton and some cases nuets and even some rockwool cubes .. but im doing a lil experimnet right with plants to see actaully how fast they frow compared to eachohter i have 2 ww in soil and 3 ww in ther bubbleponics system and 1 red shiva and in the system and 4 in soil and the other 4 plants in my syestem are hydro bud...

u can make a home made one like me that cost bout 50-60 dolars
1-water pump
6-10-net pots
1-Dual Air Pump
1-2 air stones
1-resovoir (i.e.rubbermaid containrer something liek thast)
and some tubes to run the water to ur net pots.

well after 2 weeks of flowering...and seemingly taking forever to start budding, i looked last night and i saw the first site of buds!! not many updates right now except the bud sites. hopefully i'll get a better camera and take better shots of them but keep checking back in the future.

here we go day 26...about half way to harvest i'd say. i'm guessing around anywhere from 50 to 60 days of flowering total since this is a very indica dominate strain i have here. bag seed by the way so i don't know what it is.

i took these pictures last night but i really need to find a better camera to take these pics now since they have buds on them. and i know how everyone likes the bud shots. plan on adding a 40w CFL either today or tomorrow.

also last night when i looked i could see the formation of crystals on the top cola. this is starting to get very exciting!

The leafs shot to be heat stresses how hot is it in there? Also how high are the lights from the top of your plant? Budding does take forever flowering is a waiting game. Especially if the plant is a sativa strand. Indicas usually take less time. Have patience, and you will see what its all about ;-)

robbie it stays around 70 to 74 in my flowering closet....the lights are no more than 3 inches away from the plant. i read that proximity of CFL placement is really important when your using CFLs. any advice from you? your buds are looking really nice for CFLs.

Bill, i vegged for abou 5 or 6 weeks with 2 T8's, now for flowering i am using 4 23w CFLs and 1 40w CFL.

Heat and distance seem fine. I would lower the lights even more if you can, especially if side lighting is an option, is it? When I dropped the lights like RIGHT on the bud and added side light (since lowering lessens light distribution towards the middle and lower areas.) I noticed a definite increase in the growth in my bud. My leafs look shitty yet new leafing on the plant seems fine so try to get light to wherever hidden growth may be.

Dont be afraid to trim where it is needed, uncovering areas that are underdeveloped will increase yield and bud growth. Especially any damaged, burned, or stressed leafs. I was nervous of cutting or trimming anything. But Natmoon said it was ok and I went on his expertise, and im glad I did it makes a difference especially when your using CFL

Right now there is about and inch distance between my CFLs and my top colas. ill be watching!

I am soooooo stupid. all this hard work almost went down the drain.

well here is how its begins: a few days ago i thought i finally watered my plant from all last weekend not being watered. so since i thought i did it...i didn't do it until i took a look at my grow room last night and what did i see. a plant with lots of buds everywhere, on the edge of death cause her stoner owner couldn't remember to water her.

after i noticed this problem i watered my girl a little more than i usually do but i didn't overwater. i looked later on about an hour, hour an a half later and i saw a few of the fan leaves starting to pick up and regain their strength. thank god this is a really resiliant plant.

one way to look at it in a positive way is that all those bud sites got alot more light while those bigger fan leaves were half dead haha. but throughout all of this the bud sites looked great.

i will repost more pics tomorrow, or maybe later today. well definitly later today of my seedlings. i haven't posted pics of them in awhile but thats a whole other story in its own. until then smoke on.

Well today is the first day i looked at my bitch since i forgot to water her and almost killed her right towards the end of flowering. i'm pretty stupid. but anyways i look and she is almost back to new.

so today is day 44, we're almost there. estimated harvest date is march 18th. march 11 will be exactly 8 weeks, but i think i'll let it go one more just to get the best bud i can. 1 week to dry, another week of curing, and first smoke should be on april 1st. what a fool i hope i'll be cause of it.

the buds aren't as big as i think they could've been because of my lack of nutes. but hey, some other expenses come first before the nutes. i think after i get paid i'm gonna get some flowering nutes just for 2 weeks of growth, then leaving 2 weeks to flush.

well here are the new pics, and finally i got some pics of the seedlings, which are not really seedlings any more. i just fed them their first taste of vegging nutes tonight. i started out with 7 seedlings, but i lost 3 so now i'm down to just 4 left. hopefully 2 females out of those would be very nice. anyway, enjoy the pics and don't mind to comment on anything:joint::joint::joint:
