Look dam good my man. Are you going to be trimming that all by yourself? Dam you learn something new everyday. So let me get this straight, you run c02 from day one of 12/12 them around week 6/7 (say it's a 9 week strain) you stop using the c02? I ask because I'm about to use co2 for the first time in my setup.

Thanks dude. Nah I wont be trimming by myself haha I run co2 all the way through until week 7 I will stop at week 6 next run and see if that helps them ripen up a bit faster. Im a strong believer that Co2 really helps the most during veg instead of flower. If you dont have a sealed room and a mini split then I wouldn't hassle with it.

I was thinking of running CO2 but I'm not sure how that would pan out in my tent being sealed up and temps dropping down as low 52F.

A few months ago I went to a local hydroponics store and seen this..20151214_174546.jpg

The guy says he sets it in his tent and provides CO2 that way.

I wouldn't fall for any of the gimmicks what so ever. They're uncontrollable. If you need a constant level of co2 for extended periods of time a bag releasing random levels is just going to be a waste of money. As long as your day time temps are high you shouldn't have a problem!

If I remember correctly wouldn't CO2 raise the temps of my tent? I might look into getting a CO2 set up after I get some photoperiod strains grown and a 2nd tent running.

This^^^^. Co2 is most effective during veg and early flowering. So true. Alot of people dont know this. And alot of people dont use co2 very efficiently. Putting gas into a periodically vented room is not nearly as effective as actually using a monitor and sealing the room up. Keep that gas in there at all times during lights on is the way to do it. And in veg it builds a nice stout structure for huge buds later on. You can tell co2 vegged plants and non co2 ones like night and day. Shorter....WAY bushier...deep green huge healthy leaves....extremely thick stems. I too wouldnt bother with gas unless you spring for a mini split and a gas ppm monitor/sniffer. If your refilling tanks less than a week or more....your wasting it...your plants arent getting it like they should and your doing something wrong.

If anyone has seperate veg and bloom rooms with metal halides in veg and sodiums in bloom and are willing to try it I say go for it. Seal the veg room up raise the humidity, temps and blast them bitches with about 1200 ppm of co2 for 18 hours a day. Then when their ready throw them in the bloom room with no gas....hell you can even vent this room like the traditional way....i bet your yields go up.

One more thing....them bags that release gas with god know whats in them.....i wouldnt even bother with those. They probably work if your in a tent that you never unzip or a closet you never go into....them things to me are a gimmick though. To do co2 rite is expensive. The equipment anyways.

Well nevermind on a CO2 setup then....LOL

I'm cheap. How much for a budget setup?

With co2....to do it rite.....there isnt one. The cheapest part is the regulator and solenoid if your using bottled gas. To do it rite skip the old school timer bullshit. Get a sniffer at about 450$ a pop. Then you need to seal thw room. If you do that you will most likely need air conditioning. And you need a unit that doesnt vent air. You can get cheap and silly with venting a window shaker in a mcguyver sort of way but really you need a mini split. And those cost thousands depending on your room size. Then you will prolly need a nice dehumidifier.....dude its expensive as hell. You can grow very high quality crops without all that. Most go this route. Saving up cash as they go along and after a few harvests they invest up into the high dollar equipment thag cranks out bumper yields.

.....for sure nevermind then. I'll take slightly less yields for now and invest a few years down the road then.

Hell my first lamp was an old school 400 watt lamp i ordered with my open house high school graduation money back in 1991. Ordered it to my girlfriends grandmas house. Back then DEA tracked all that shit and if you got popped....you was going to fukin prison. Scary times back then. I actually started growing and used shitty T12 floros back in 1989. I didnt have a clue what i was doing either. Didnt get "serious" until '91 with that little old 400 watter....lol. I thought i was the shit too. Fukin dumb kid...lol

I think thats why I'm wanting to go bigger! Times have changed and I feel I could handle a bigger grow. I admire @chrondidily , his grow and wanna grow up to be like him! :weed:

I'm working on the wife to let me build something like a 8x20 room in the garage.....overkill from a 4x4?

@chrondidily how are you going to be trimming? Right from the upside down scrog? Letting them stay in the tent to dry? I've been worried about my drying and curing process as I was going to hang mine in the garage for a few days then move them into jars.

That's why I do a perpetual grow. I'm a one man crew and that would be a nightmare for me to do all that trimming. But good luck man. I just hate trimming.

Im slowly just going to trim them up while theyre hanging and dry in the tent and cut an manicure and put into jars when theyre dry. Should be about a week. Thanks for the kind words yo!

Hey Chron.....did you have to cut the net trellis out to get the buds outta there?
I literally just flipped the trellis upside down and everything stayed in place haha, worked out pretty well!

Ive got a small army coming over this weekend to knock it all out!

Smoke me out and trim ..lol that sounds like a good time! How long can trimming really take solo on that much? I've only cut away at some fluff from the bottom.
