those are some nice looking fat colas. i got into the habit of cutting up the colas into bite sized buds and putting them on paper because i'm an impatient fucker but a slow dry is better for taste. did you weigh it yet? i always weigh everything as soon as i trim them. the yeild will be from 1/3 rd to 1/4 of the wet weight.

Thanks my dude.. I drank lots of beer while trimming but no bong rips, those would make me lazy.

that smell will drift a long way. just aim a fan just below them. it will speed it up considerably.

i'd recommend that you space your colas farther apart. no reason to crowd them and it will slow down the drying.

Yeah I shut the window now just have my fan blowing in the closet. I will do some spacing.. This morning the outsides were crispy but still kind of soft.
I'm anxious to quick dry a small nug in the microwave but I still have like a 1/8th of some sour diesel that I been smoking.
 
Once the leaves crisps up I usually like to take them and jar them for a few hours to pull some moisture out then move them to a paper bag for 2 days, it seems to work with me 5-6 days of hanging / drying before I jar & start curing.

Good advice Weedzy they will be at day 4 of hanging drying they feel pretty dry basically no humidity out here in the PHX! So I think tonight I will do them in the paper bag for a couple days then start the jar curing/burping process...

i can't believe you haven't tried a joint yet. i have no patience at all. for a quick dry i put some buds in an envelope and put them on the top of my 250 veg light. an hour or so later, they're ready to smoke! i used to use the back of my computer monitor but that ended with the skinny monitors. you can also dry them fairly quickly by taking the buds and cutting them into tiny pieces and spread them apart with a fan blowing over them. drys in a few hours.


i've done a bunch of crops and i stopped sweating them in bags or jars. i've come to the conclusion that it's best just to let them dry, without doing the sweating thing. you just hang them for an additional day or 2. i've done it so often i just know by time and feel when all the moisture has left the middle and they're ready for the cure. one of my few skills! :)

i demand that you smoke a joint today and tell us how it is!!!

Beaver my man, i snapped a stem a few days ago peeled right down the stem lol, anywho it was mostly cloudy and just covered in res man. the bud is curing now but the crispy leaves that were covered in res i smoked up last nite, maaann talk about an almost trippy whack u in the face buzz lasted for about an hour off about a gram of leaves. peace n happy new year bro

Yeah I been taking bong rips all weekend , doesnt taste that good yet still has the "hay " smell..
 
im looking into using plant esters for my next round of purples in dwc. now im not totally up on it yet but they change and/or add flavor(s). i guess esters are made by the plant but in dwc there being rushed to grow so fast they fall behind in the flav category, so in my opinion i think by giving the plant something it wont have to concentrate energy as much on producing flavs..anyone in the know plz correct me ....peeeaaace

I just posted some pics of them drying on the string... They have been in jars for a couple weeks burping every day I been smoking a lot of it and gave some to some good friends.. Its cool not having to ration your chronic.. Yeah dude I'm lazy plus I work a full time job from 7am-4pm so when i get home I usually take some bong rips and start playing the PS3..Growing your own shit is real work I'm on hiatus from my "second job" enjoying my crops..
