Hi all.. Beaver Hunter has been vegging his white russian seedlings and here they are after a solid week, two of the girls already have a lot of roots comming through the rapid rooters, should I move them to the DWC reservoirs or keep letting them vegg under the T5 and dome. Any advice?

Should of been in there the moment you saw roots.
What size net pots ?
Say 5, say 5 ! lol
I put 2 inches of hydroton in the bottom, then center the plug and surround plus cover it some.
Nice and anchored. No tilting when that stem becomes a TRUNK !! lol

My seedlings dont look as happy as they did this morning when I left for work. I need to transfer them by tonight. I'm using GH Nutes , 5 gallon igloo water coolers as my reservoir. Anyone with advice on how much nutes I should provide these girls with???? I hear starting off 1/4 strength.

150 - 200 ppm's and they should be fine.
6ml Micro and 9ml Bloom with 5ml Cal/Mag in your bucket should get your there.
IF you're using R/O water at 18ppm's like me that is.

dang my black and orange hannah says 80 ppm on my R/O water ..

Ok so I transferred 3 of my plants to the DWC 5 gal reservoirs. I used General Hydroponics 12ml Micro and 18ml Bloom/per 5 gal reservoir came back with a 580 PPM is that okay any tips?

How long have they been in that nute solution at that ppm ?
If they are still fine RIGHT NOW, after being in there for more than 12hrs, then they will be fine.
Otherwise take 2gals out and replace it with 2gals of your R/O water ph'd the same as the nute solution still in the bucket.

Thanks Flo!!! Yeah they were in that PPM for about 10 hours and when I got home from work I diluted the water and brought it down to 450PPM now I will change out my reservoirs tonight and switch the girls to 18/6.

Update on the White Russians.
4 of the plants were moved to reservoirs 1 week ago today. I'm using General Hydroponics Nutes Calculator " Keep it Simple" Drain to Waste...I transferred another plant from the dome to reservoir too the roots were dangling all over the plug.

GH Flora Gro- 7.5 ml
GH Flora micro- 7.5 ml
GH Flora Bloom- 7.5 ml
GH Florablend - 75ml

Following the nute schedule says it should give me a 330 ppm but It's getting me up to the 450 ppm mark. PH is staying at a 5.6-5.8 And thses kick ass coolers are keeping the water at 68-71 degrees even after a week. Vegging under a T5. The leaves dont look as green as they did in the dome. Any advice or honest criticism is cool by me. Temps are at 73-75 ( portable AC) humidity about 50%.

You got it going good there, Beaver !
Like the root porn too !
Just keep doing what you're doing and you'll have some nice dank buds in no time.
Keep that attention to detail. Take notes on everything. PPM's, PH, Temps, Height of light, water/nutes added to rez, etc..

Yes Sir! I'm keeping notes on everything. I think I'm gonna get a R/O for my house.. I thought filling up 5 gal water jugs was cake. I'm barely on my second round and already annoyed with it. I didnt use the florablend until last night when I went home for lunch the plants looked 10x's better overnight. Thanks Flo for all your help dude I'd give you more rep but it says I need to spread more around...

You can run 24/7 all through veg & switch 12/12 for flower or just bump it down to 18/6 now and make the 12/12 switch whenever your ready. I run 18/6 to save on electricity but you know I'm using a 250W MH / HPS

Yeah I am running a T5 , I did switch to 18/6 as of last night just trying to promote root growth. Next grow I'm definitely getting a 250 ballast so I can veg with a MH .. Compare a T5 veg vs. MH ...
