I gave the girls a pedicure/manicure last night .. trimmed off as many fan leaves as I could until it was time to go to bed... Gonna finish my x-mas shopping tonight and on tomorrows day off I will be trimming all day long...

True that , but it did fuck with my electric bill a lil bit. Usually my shits like 250-300 in the summer.. Its about 220 now in the winter with the 1000W and Fan running. Usually its under 200 bucks in the winter.

Chop Chop and trim trim... Man the only shitty thing I have encountered while growing cannabis is the trimming and manicuring of the buds!!! Wow dude talk about real work. Basically worked over 12 hours in the room listening to Sirius and trimming buds I didnt even smoke because I knew I wouldnt get anything done.. Anyways I didnt go picture happy because I was mass tired.

It depends upon humidity in the room etc. Because of a cold front mine dried out quick the first round so I added humidifier for second round. 2-3 days hanging, place in paper bag for a day or two then I start curing just depends on how dry or wet your buds are remember once you place them in the jar the moisture will return.

I found this grow last week and sub'd right away but didn't have a chance to comment until now. I have to say for a newbie grower, this was the most uneventful read I've ever seen on this site, and I mean that in a good way!! Besides a few minor setbacks with a bit of root rot and such, you got all your problems solved quick and just kept plugging!
And look at that reward!!! It's just Fucking Beautiful! Congratulations!!

Thanks dude.. Yeah one thing I have to admit is that at first I was a little worried with all the different shit that can go wrong but I learned and figured out not to stress too much because the plants will tell you when something is wrong.

maybe i missed something er im too late but lol i always hang for 10 days but i hang the whole plant, i hang it up come back 10 days later. with ur size buds id forget about for at least a week till i even looked at em again. then whichever stems snap when u bend em manicure more and jar em as needed. diff strokes for diff folks man peeeaaace

Yeah it says people do that Dicky ( Jorge Cervantes Growers Bible) He says old school guys do it like you but it makes trimming the leaves harder. I just followed most of the tutorials on RIU ..

those are some nice looking fat colas. i got into the habit of cutting up the colas into bite sized buds and putting them on paper because i'm an impatient fucker but a slow dry is better for taste. did you weigh it yet? i always weigh everything as soon as i trim them. the yeild will be from 1/3 rd to 1/4 of the wet weight.
you didn't get high while trimming? rookie mistake!

that smell will drift a long way. just aim a fan just below them. it will speed it up considerably.
i'd recommend that you space your colas farther apart. no reason to crowd them and it will slow down the drying.
have you quick dried some and tried it yet?
