First DWC Grow!!! (DinaFem Fruit Auto)

Thanks ruralgirls! More pix! Looks like the full system clean + the addition of DM Zone really paid off. Plants are starting to come back around really strong. Root development is crazy!

Wow man, those roots look great. I've been having some trouble getting my girls to even drop one root into the water...were you keeping the water close to the bottom of the net pots or how far below? Thanks!

Looks Awesome! How much of a gap do you have between your pots and the water? My roots were fine and growing last week and this week they are horrible.

I was looking at doing that same 5 gallon setup with dwc and airstones.
what temp is your water?
What nutes ppm?
Whya re you transplanting from 4 to 6" I thought you just start in 6" and let it go?
I also doubted that you could start from seed but you made a fool out of me.

Thanks a lot for all the help man, plants look really good too! Definitely following this one till the end.

Thanks for all the comments guys! I only had one 6" net-pot-in-a-bucket-lid so one plant got that one, the other got a DIY hole in standard bucket lid. Figure since this is my first grow I could do a side by side comparison. So far I'm liking the 3" netpot drilled into the standard lid. The 6" netpot had to be hand watered everyday whereas the 3" one kept getting soaked easily. My water level is just about touching the bottom of the 3" netpot and about 1" into the 6" netpot since my rapid rooter on the 6" pot is a tad bit higher.

My water temp is a steady 66~68F, thanks to my chiller and my nute PPMs started at 400 a few days ago. Although I checked just now and its at 300ish, plants eating since last res change. I'll be raising the PPMs to 500 next res change. pH is always rising a few 1/10ths a day which is a good sign since PPMs are dropping every day (plants eating). I try to keep the pH between 5.5 and 6.2, so every time it climbs to 6.2 I add pH down to around 5.5 and let it rise over the next few days.

Today I topped off the res with 3 gallons of pH'd water + 400ppm of nutes. The system was at 400ppm a few days ago and went down to about 300 so the top off was set at 400ppm, this rose the total system PPM to around 340ish. Currently trying to find a humidifier as I'm seeing the low teens =[

Really nice. Im gonna be doing DWC for the first time too as soon as I mother one of my sprouts. Keep it up.

Yea, will top feeding cause more top growth? Update for today! PPM @ 380 (topped off the res last night), pH @ 5.8, and water temps at 66F.

Also, can anyone help me identify whats up with the leaf in the last pic? It's one of the older leaves on the bottom and I noticed some yellowing from the outside in.

Hmmm.. starting to think it may be nute burn since the tip is brown in that last pic. I'll change out some water tonight to lower it back down to around 300 instead of 380..

damn or maybe its magnesium def...
