This is my first indoor cfl grow. IT is a Strawberry kush plant with the THC content of anywhere from 10-20 percent. The plant is around 4 months old. I have been giving it 5-5-5 nutes. The soil i am using is the organic miracle grow. I am getting disoloration on the leaves . If anybody know what this is i would be stoked to learn.I am open to any construtive critisism so teach me all you know! Thank you very much and keep smoking!

If i was you mate i would fluch those plant asap with a shit load of water.. couple of gallons minimum....once you have flushed them then i would give it a very small dose of epsom salts with a mild nute feed.. about half what u would normally give.. it could be over nutes already so make sure u flush plenty.. infact get some bottled water it has micro nutes and stuff and water with that with mild nutes/epsoms you should be fine!!!!!!

Maybe add some hydrogen peroxide with your water.. its great for the roots and very cheap to buy.. will kill bacteria and help agains quite a few deseases!!! buy the strogest one they got.. they start at 3% and go upto about 35% (food grade)... amount for 3% is around 30ml per gallon of water...

Gonna be watching!!!

Dont go over feeding mate either...... less is more believe me..lol feed every other water maximum and try to not water unless they need it.. put your finger in the soil about 3 inches if its damp dont water... If dry then water. Dont feed every water u will ruin your plants for sure... when they go into flower change your nutes to one that has less N than P K.. I use canna vega flores its not expensive and is a well proven product!!!

What spectrum of light u using??? and any more info on what u got?? temps?? fan???

I am using the daylight cfls right now. then i was going to use the warm cfls when i switch them to 18-6 and 12-12 lighting. I am using miracle grow organic soil i turn the fan on them about once every other day so they don't get to cold. I am using 5-5-5 nutes miricle grow as well. I have also been spraying the leaves everyday with water but sometimes they wilt a little because of the cold. I only use distilled water. Any other advise would rock.

Good call on the nutes from urbanfunk. Follow his advice.

The nuteburn will damage the leaves more before it's sorted but don't be tempted to cut any leaves off even if they look really bad.
The plant looks healthy otherwise so back off the nutes and you should do fine.

So it will look bad for a minuet? I will not pick any leaves off and i willkeep using pure distilled water. Thank you. How long does it take for it to be completly gone? I am going to start flowering soon and i was going to try to get rid of it by then or do you think that it will be ok?

Sorry CCE

I didn't word it right. I meant to say that with nuteburn, the leaves kind of turn into potato chips around the edges and it gets a bit worse even after the flush, but the plant still needs as much foliage as possible to sustain it during flower so don't cut it back.
The leaves will drop when they are no longer needed.

If during the flowering stage you notice that the lower foilage of your plants has become necrotic, dont worry, its normal because your plants no longer need N when flowering jus K+P with some micronutes. also to answer about the plant problem, make sure you have a regulated pH ( 6.5-6.8 ), plant roots cant obtain nitrogen without and other key nutes without a stable pH. Good luck.

Some suggestions/solutions :-)

1.Consider repotting to allow those roots to stetch a little into clean fresh soil. I have found that this can overcome most issues around PH fluctuation/salts/nutes build up etc in late veg/early flowering. Wont do any harm at all if done carefully and confidently and gives you a chance to take a quick look at those roots! Big pot I know but it can always be done once you get the hang of the best way.

2. Change soil/feed next time! Miracle Grows not the best medium for these plants, workable but not ideal.

3, Be careful if you do flush, it takes a good time for those roots to dry out again and recover. Personally I always choose option 1, even during flowering and with no harm done at all.

4. Nice plant :-) To recap: repot, feel those roots. Dont feed or water for a few days if the compost is already moist. Cut back on the MG, maybe try another nutrient as suggested above. Give it a week or so to recover before flowering then relax and enjoy it :-)

Hope this helps, but whatever you decide to do, good luck :-)

1st- Get different nutes ASAP. Miracle Grow nutes are horrible for cannabis. It does not absorb the nitrates and shit that are in Miracle Gro nutes very well. Instead get Fox farm Grow big/tigerbloom. Get the bio bloom aswell. These are the best all around nutes IMHO. Miracle gro organic isnt HORRIBLE aslong as its the ORGANIC kind. However, I would still recomend going to your local gardning/hydro store and get some kind of compost/organic potting soil, dolomite lime and earthworm castings and mix it with perlite in a 60/30/10 mix. 60% soil/compost 30% perlite, and 10% earthworm castings with 1 TB dolomite lime per gallon of soil.
2nd- How big are those pots? If they are smaller then 2 gallons transplant ASAP. 3 gallon pots are optimum. Make sure you water very well after a transplant. When you transplant wash the old soil off the roots with GENTLE SLOW RUNNING water. This will wash most of the salts/shitty fertilizer that is burning your plants.
Do these two things and your girl(s) will come back stronger then ever.

God luck my friend,
pce
