Female newbie here again. What the heck is going on?

Thanks for adding that to this thread! I've actually read it before...but after 2 months in veg and having my last plant turn hermie, I have been nervous to do anything that may stress out my remaining plants. I have been thinking about experimenting with UB's topping methods for awhile, just nervous that I'll do something wrong... I learn a lot better when someone shows me "hands on" what to do, then I am good. Know of any good videos on topping a plant that is 8 wks old? That would probably help a lot!!! Thanks again for the response and the link
It's not too late to top them. Post a question to Uncle Ben via the link I gave you. He'll sort you out.

It wouldn't stress them much, they'd dig it, and you can clone what you remove.

Cheers.

on #'s 1, 2, & 3 where ur seeing new leaf growth will develop into a shorter stem off the same node. it is also known as the elite genetic. not all plants carry it. it's something great to have is it increases potential yeild.

all plants once they're mature will continue to develope pistils where flowering nodes will be. or balls, or both if you just happen to get fu**** like i did.

but nice looking indicas!! keep up the good work.

Damn Toquer, I was just replying to your pm and stupid RIU flipped out and lost it all!!! I am bummed. And you know me...with my long ass messages LOL. With my luck, these 7 will all hermie out on me too. Looked tonight at #1-3 and #3 is showing some pistils...I beleve they are wanting to go to 12/12!

Nice looking plants and a great job. It's a big step to grow 1 plant to 7 plants. Keep up the good work. Peace, jethead

Good job MTgirl. Plants look nice and healthy. The look like indica dom. Go ahead and top them if you havent already. I am actually experimenting right now as we speak to top or not to top because topping does cause some stress to your girls but it is true they do open up beautifully. Maybe youd like to look into LST.

The genetics thing has happened to me b4 with the herms. I just pulled out a purple hard ball kush from my grow that hermed and my buddys did as well. Alot of crosses now a days tend to herm as well. Do some research on this product from dutchmaster called reverse its for hermies may help you out.

Good luck

Thanks! You are right, it is a big step, especially with the hermie gene showing it's ugly face in the first one...next grow I will definitely have better genetics.

Thanks. I agree they look mostly Indica. Dealing with hermies sucks, it is a lot of extra work. But, I have learned a lot. Have you personally ever used Reverse? When I initially found out I had a hermie, I went out and bought it, along with the penetrator. Then I did a lot of reading on RIU and heard from various people that it made the "balls" situation worse, especially when applied during flowering. There are a lot of "differences in opinion" about using it. So, since I have so many more plants during this run, I may just "experiment" and spray a few plants with it...re-apply in 10 days and then switch everyone to flower. If any hermies appear in flower that didn't get the Reverse, I may just spray them too, just to see for myself if the balls situation actually gets better or not.

They look past where UB recommends topping for 4 colas to me. I think I can count 8 or more nodes on the smallest of the 7.
If it were mine I would get the biggest 3 into flowering so I could weed out any males ASAP. Then after the hermie is harvested, the other four could join them to show sex. 3 or 4 should be good for a 600W. You can always pull a few clones from the best female once she shows.
Pure %'s should mean 1 or 2 are female even if the genetics have the trait. Have faith a Queen will show.:leaf: Hope that helps.

Hi Daniels. Yeah...kinda already cut their tops off. Oops! But I knew I wouldn't get multiple cola's like UB's. You are right...they already had more than 8 nodes (not 5 or 6 like UB says to do it at). They are actually already showing sex at 18/6. Just noticed the other day. All (4) of the smaller ones are all throwing pistils and I noticed just yesterday that 1 of the 3 larger ones is also showing female too. Yikes!

Do you not think I am gonna have enough room under just 1 600wHPS if all 7 are female? I can also hang my 4 foot T5's and use them for side light if need be. If not...you can come down and get some of my plants!!! LOL

I have 4 different flowering chambers all full, various weeks into budding, so thanks but I can't possibly fit another.

If I remember right a 600W is good for 4' x 4', but with the t-5's on sides 5' x 5' could work. 7 plants seems like hard to fit, but pics would help to judge for how big they are. One or two might be a male, and cull any hermie to show instead of fighting it. Good Luck.

Fighting it...good one. At least I am winning the battle so far! Yeah, I am definitely culling any males/hermies out of the 7. Now, if they by chance all go hermie, I may just keep 2 and "fight" em. Caring for hermie's is like a full time job. Since I have nothing better to do until summer comes to grow my veggies, I think I can handle 2 hermies LOL. On my next grow this winter, I hope to have much better genetics! Have you been to Helena recently for any more legislature nonsense?

No, I haven't been to Helena lately, but I'm sure I will be there soon to fight them. Just to make you smile, from the 10 seeds I've started, I got 1 male. So much for space.

Hahaha...you just made me laugh a lot. What are you psychic? Close...Except the hair that is and no work boots (flip flops). I live in Dickies over-alls and can turn a gay man straight. Tested and proven LOL...

No shit! I would love to see a higher than 62% majority vote in 2012 to keep it. They should have better regulated the program from day 1. Too many cards were given out to people that shouldn't have gotten one. I love "Jaker's" in GF!
