yo thundo that sshxtrainwreck looks insane man great shit man keep it up, cant wait to see the next mauixfruity. this is by far the best cfl grow ive seen, just cause of the strains and everything looks amazing
Thanks bro I appreciate it, cuz it wasn't that long ago that I was drooling over people's grows wishing I had a cab full like most do on here and now I'm told by many to be one of the best :weed:.. I'm also in the process of designing and making grow cabs for med patients with little space and little money,I want to keep them under $400 and if I can cheaper than that if it I can get the materials cheap enough and I will also add a recommended strain guide for what grows best in the micro enviroment:clap:

I've read all your grow threads now and really like your micro sog technique. I'm hoping to replicate this same type of grow in my own closet very soon.

I've got the space to do a nice number of these and maybe work out a perpetual harvest with them. I was also thinking about running AF strains, this would let me veg other plants for my flowering area above at the same time since AF strains run 18/6.

I really liked this light.

And despite all the research I've done on lighting, this was the first time I saw one of those. I would like to replicate something like that for my cab. One of those with about 8 x 26w 2700k cfls arrayed aroud my buds on homemade "candle sticks". Precision lighting similar to the technique used in Garden Knowm "Marijuana Buds for less. Grow 8oz. of bud for less than 100$" book.
https://www.rollitup.org/cfl-growing/40884-buds-less-cfl-book.html

Anyways, I really like that light! I want to build something similar but for much cheaper. Tho the prce tag isn't to bad for that the potential that thing has, but I bet RIU could put it together for less than half of that.

It would fit perfect here after raising the second level 6".

Did you ever cop that system? I can't even find any similar online anywhere.

No I never got one of those yet I need to get some extra spending cash but I've seen it as cheap as $222 for the 2ft version with only 1 150hps in the middle

Yeh I saw the lower priced one linked as well, but it's also not for sale anymore at that site. Noone has these as far as I can tell.

sorry no pics but I witnessed a 12 cfl (26 real watts each) grow 12 lolipops and produce 6 oz dry. They ran 10-12 weeks though instead of the normal 8-9

Still, they were badass nugz off cfl. Im sure you could grab more out of hps but this cfl thing just seems more realistic for the average person.

If I were to use a ballast like the one pictured above I would still use another 8-12 26w cfls as well. I know that an HPS can flower tighter buds than just cfl's alone so being able to combine the 2 like that would be awesome. That ballast kicks ass.

Hmm. 221$ and no bulbs? No tubes or hps bulbs?

Yeh, definately looks like a DIY job then. I'm gonna get started on plants to build the longer version in the next few days.

Well I just got back from my local hydro store and was talking about this light system with the owner there. He was able to find it in his catalog. Priced at similar to what we had here. 460$ for the long version. But after the price vuts at the shop for being a lifetime member (100$ 1 time fee, well worth it) this light system would only be 300$ from them.

Still doesn't come with the 2 hps bulbs, but it comes with the t-5's.

Interesting.

Call me frugal, but that's when I just opt to pick up some shoplights at Lowes...you get the very same thing. You can get 4 tubes with lights for less than 70 bucks.
I do like that with the combination HPS. I wish I just had the money to throw out their way, but even if I did, I'd probably defy their expensive prices and build it myself.
BTW, I am so digging your grow......do show more!!!

Ok everybody so I have some awesome news I just found out about this lovely plant I am about to show you..
I was told it was Master Kush and it's really Mendocino Purple Kush aka Master Kush in that area... That came straight from the owner of The Patients Choice in Clearlake cuz that's where I get my strains from since Blue Sky doesn't want to change the menu much I say go north my friends!! But anyway on with some pics right?

Nice isn't it?? I'll take more pics when I have new batteries and upload them soon! By the way those are from week 5 of flowering and it's Mendocino Purple!!!

hay diggity just got threw reading a good portion of this thread and i think your doing f---ing great. i kind of new so i hope this doesnt affend you but to me the yields are just ok i think if u went with some 4inch square pots some real nutes and a couple of transplants to keep hight low. i think this would still keep good hieght for you and better yields. in a couple of monts i just might be able to prove this my self soon with my little setup. plants by my name are my 7 days ago they"ve doubled in size since, tallest one is 5 and half inchs with lots of under growth already.just a thought your still the man.

Another grower had success with a product called Bushmaster used to stop vertical growth. Might be something to help people manage this kind of grow and keep height down.

You can see on page 3 he has some great bud shots of some plants he has dialed in at 18". Even MisturBomb would be appreciative of the nugs he's got going in there.

I went back a couple of pages in an attempt to find pictures at 2/3 weeeks of flowering. Did you delete them? Could you post them? I would like to compare. Mine are at 2 1/2 weeks.
Ughhhh, now I am seriously getting frustrated. Any time I go back a page, view a picture, basically.....do anything at all, I have to log in each and every time and I keep losing my place.
I would really like to see some pictures of flowering at those stages. Also, when I began reading this about a week ago, I was sure I saw a picture of what you used for cloning. Could you possibly post that one as well? Thanks.

I think you're talking about the home made tupper ware shoebox bubble cloner. I don't remember a picture in this thread but somebody posted a link to a thread about it on the ICMag forum.
