We are working with a yet to be announced consulting firm that 100% uses LEDs in the system they have developed. They have sold several facilities. Yep HPS is still the most widely adopted technology currently. Is it changing? Yes. Will HPS use decline? Not for 3-5 more yrs but that's about it. Semiconductor prices keep falling and efficacy keeps rising. HPS will still be valuable in greenhouse. Especially colder climates. The biggest thing that led can do that HPS can't is vertical farm racking systems....... This is the future......

HPS is as efficient as it was 5 years ago
LED is gaining efficiency year over year and is already substantially cheaper to operate.
within a few years it will be cheaper in capital cost as well, and at that point will be the bulk of new installs
margins in the market will eventually tighten to the extent that if youre not in the upper levels of efficiency youre not in business.

I'm not fucked up about it lol. Just trying to share my experiences. I have bid several rack facilities. The biggest one was in Canada. 1 million sq ft of canopy space to be built out over a 3 yr span.

No this company will launch in about a month. They have 20 mil for startup. They have about 4 contracts that I'm aware of in MA NV CO and CA. They have a nice system. Total automation.

- for the simple reason, that sun- and(or) wind-power + a watercooled led light system is all you need.
Planed in the right dimension you receive: light to produce your own veg. or weed / hot water / heating in winter / e- mobility
