Experiment or find a recipe that someone else has made for cannabis.

It boggles my mind why the people say that more expensive nutrients = bigger bud. You read the back of these expensive nutrients and see the elements that are in them.
Then you buy those EXACT elements for a fraction of the price! Figure out the amounts you need to use then mix your own fert!
Why are people saying to get quality bud you need to buy these expensive watered down nutrients, when your providing the same elements????

Look man just type into google Cannabis cure cancer? and start reading. The endocannabinoid system is the largest part of the immune system. The cannabis receptors tell the cancerous cells to die when the brain should have but did not. Your body produces and kills cells constantly, the cells that are not killed and are mutated multiply and never stop where a normal cell only devides 50 to 75 times. I'm currenlty on the nute search...I always felt I was being ripped. Being a business minded person I was always aware nute companies where making a huge profit with dilute products.

True Story:

When I was in High School I was part of a Co-op work program. I worked at a small Chemical mixing company. This was the first time I was introduced to this form of business and I must say on the outside it may seem boring...but on the inside it's a maze of smoke and mirrors.

We would sell a "Formula" to many surrounding cities that was for water treatment. We would sell them in 45 gallon barrels as fast as we could make them. Annnd this is how we made them. The owner bought a cheap compound pre mixed for water treatment. It came in powder form. We would pour the 50 bags into a drum and add universal solvent and BAM ... We created our own "brand" for water treatment...that our owner and sales reps would claim was the best thing since sliced bread.

While I was just a humble high school kid I had a business mind. The whole operation consisted of only 7 people including the office. Out of the whole operation there was only 2 full time guys in the back "mixing" or "creating" (lol) formulas. I only worked part time 3 days a week. So it was pretty much 2 guys doing all the work.

On the low end the mark up was 1000% there #1 ingredient was WATER. Sometimes I just felt bad mixing formulas...like "if these people only knew" kinda stuff. But hey I was just a high school kid that got to work 6th hour and make some money instead of some worthless gym class. But it did school me on this biz and may I say and truly inform all...It is BIG business and it's all about propitiatory "formulas" which basically means I can never mention what they where really doing...buying powder compounds and just adding water lol. They had me sign a contract.

oh did I mention it was a 6+ million dollar company that was started in the owners garage. He used to have to meet the UPS tucks at wall mart cause his drive way was not big enough for out going shipments.

We need to keep our eye on the N-P-K and the Ca Mg. I too used over priced store bought jugs of water with little nutrient in it. Once I got my environment under control I then started to look into my nutes. The nute companies would like to think they are doing something magically. Their only magic is to convince people to buy jugs of over priced water, and that does not make them smart. I can't believe how many intelligent farmers I've heard say things like "it's not whats listed on the label that makes it good". Not to digress but I'll never again buy any additive or nutrient that doesn't list whats in it on the label. Would you feed your family some mystery food?

thanks for sharing the site dude. i will probably be using that site for a few things..i have to comment on the Simpson oil think though. i come from a medical family that just lost a family member to cancer. while in theory yes cannabis can help; a treatment has yet to show produce negligible results in a clinical test unfortunately. not saying we should give up on it though.

All of these comments are viable because we all grow differently. I have done the full circle with the nute game. Yes you can get really badass buds using pretty much any products. I now prefer to pay the price for the convenience, thats it! I use AN just for that reason, even though I have the ability and skills to produce my own nutrients.

CONVENIENCE I tell ya, I would rather spend my time tending my plants and vaping then mixing toxic ingredients and getting them in my lungs and on my skin. Powders are the worst to play with IMO.

If you look at How to Save Money on Nutrients they use Big bud as an example, but they only list Mono Potassium Phosphate (MKP) and Potassium Sulfate (Sulfate of Potash or SOP) since those 2 are on the label. If you check out A.N. raw ingredients list for Big bud you will see that kelp4less left "a few" ingredients out

No....not at any garden store....even at my local hydro shop all you can get is expensive ass Branded products...also OSH doesn't carry any raw material and they are an orchard supply I don't think anywhere close to me sells this stuff

When you walk into your local hydro shop and grab a bottle of AN about 10% of your money is going toward the material you are actually using and need....the other 90% you are paying for Filtered water, BRAND recognition, Advertising, fancy little art on the front of the bottle that they had to pay a professional artist to make.....

You can't really have 500% cheaper. Only More Expensive. The Cheaper Ratio would have to be less than 100% or it would be free.

All grown organically using Kellogg fertilizer and potting soil. Ferts is $8-$10 per bag, the soil is $4 a bag. Figure $20-$30 per plant total. No pHing, no weekly feedings, no BS to mess with. I water with city tap water from the water hose (use a soaker line to conserve water) and fertilize in spring and again in fall.
