Excellent ! Good for you & i mean that in a good way , not snide remark .

I wish pot helped my pain more than it does , sometimes smoking helps take the edge off which means i dont have to take the 30mg oxycodone or 8mg dilaudid im prescribed for break thru pain .

Before my last surgery i was taking 5 80mg oxycontin daily for pain as well as 3 to 5 30mg oxycodone & 3 200mg nucynta daily & was still going insane from the pain , since the last surgery im down to 2 60mg oxycontin daily with 1 or 2 nucynta for break thru pain , on really bad days i up my dose to the 80mg oxycontins & have the oxycodone & dilaudid for break thru pain , thankfully 9 out of 10 days aren't bad days .

My wife has a severe form of Multiple Scleurosis & uses mj with great effect in stopping or lessoning the severe muscle spasms she goes thru about half the day , if i watch her close i can spot the signs before she has a spasm & give her a keif cookie & pack her a fat bowl & if i get it into her fast enough it will stop the spasm from comming on or lesson its severity 10 fold , its been a godsend for her because her system dont tollerate opiates well , when i inject her with demerol i have to watch her like a hawk .
My god. I graduated to an allergy to all opioid analgesics and can't take most antibiotics either.
They tried a few others but each reaction got worse. So I was left with the fun choice of methadone and methadone. Nothing else. My doctor refused to look at weed. So that's when I made a change and found a doctor that would prescribe me weed.
It really is the one consistent remedy that always has the same results.

I don't want to say I'm glad to hear your story. But I am. When you and your spouse go through something like that it's so difficult and there really aren't words to describe it.
And you never hear about this ever!
I'm so glad she's doing well. And phoenix tears is what I started on too!
I hope she feels better and better! Happy thoughts!

Well when the spouse things works...it's heaven on earth .
Just on a side note, you Migraine sufferers need to tell Brewery on here what works. I believe his wife suffers from the same nasty affliction. Maybe he know's these things already and I'm sure has seen this info you have been giving.
He was looking for a migraine friendly strain for her. You guys might know something he would find helpful.
I don't suffer from them but have had them before and I know it's a terrible thing. I can't imagine what someone who gets these constantly must feel like. My sympathy to you sufferers. good to hear the " people plant " give some relief.
Cannabis is like WD40.....many many uses.

Thanks, i was tired of seeing her nodding out. Tired of hearing those pill bottles rattle. Tired of her forgetting her pills and being in ridicoules amounts of pain even if she missed 1hr. Just 1 day i realized our relationship was complete garbage, sex stopped, emotions stopped, laughs and jokes stopped so i had put my foot down. I told her shes going off them weather she likes it or not. If it hurts like hell for a week i really dont care. This will be done with or i will be done with her. It may cause her pain to be off them but it causes me pain when shes on them. While she doesnt see any negative effects they are definately going on inside. Now, im proud to say she made the right decision. She is off the instant dilaudid morphine. She is off the long lasting morphine and a shit load of other things that top the list. It took her 1 week to get off of them with random shooting withdrawal pains in her shins and forearms here and there. Even more posstive, shes is full force on the cannabis. She smokes more then me now...its helping with the withdrawals so i dont expect her to be consuming the same 5g of shatter in a week she currently is LOL but i really dont care, that cost is peanuts compared to loosing a life time partner. She even had a "pipe dream" the other day "If those licenses come back im going to our doctor and getting what you have, we can buy a small shop and grow the plants big and make hockey puck sized shatter...i know so many people on all these pills and if it worked for me im sure it will work for them" it was definately a proud moment actually it was a speechless moment. She hates the government more now then ever!!!

At this time, LPs can take a hike. If they actually provided the R&D they said they would be doing i might tolerate them. All there doing is making a money mill. When they see someones life change for the possitive from this i hope they give there head a shake.

AMEN!!
it took my wife about a month to be "out of the woods" methadone is an evil drug...the nerve twitches were hell! for about an hour around 9 pm, she would twitch...badly. so much that i sat beside her with her head on my chest & my hand on her face so when her arms twitched they wouldn't smack her in the face. it was very bad...it helped in the beginning but it seems after a while, they turn on a body & make things worse....and that crap is legal & is covered by insurance companies yet we have to fight for "our medicine" because the "suits" view it as BAD...yet no deaths, no organ damage but they refuse to look at the positive. we had one Dr flat out refuse to sign simply because he thought smoking it was bad for you. when i explained about edibles and that is better for you & the healing he got angry & said he would NOT sign the papers.
sorry for the rant but this topic really gets me!!!

My better half has voiced these same kind of feelings to me on a number of times.
I wish mmj would be able to slam me harder than it does....but it just can't keep up....
no matter the method of delivery...I have been able to eliminate 16 different types of pills etc...so far and am close on one more....which is huge since I was on 25 different types of meds...at one time...
the next three months should prove to be interesting....since I am planning a tolerance taper..from 1/2 of my narcotic's the first 3 months
the the other half the following 3 months...until its gone completely...for 2 months.. before starting it back up again....
but its a nice break from all the pills and patches and it allows me to evaluate, exactly how I'm feeling...and how things have progressed...though I find I have a tendency to use all of my daily allowance for mmj when I quit the heavy stuff...
plus I know I'm on this for the long term..regardless....so the tolerance break...each year is built into my routine....
My doctors are completely on board with me for these kind of things....so thankfully that has worked out...because
being sick and damaged is enough all by itself to have to worry about...with out all the resistance....that patients these days are faced with.....especially with mmj
ps I have not required an increase in my narcotic pain meds since becoming an mmar patient...and thats now 3 years...

Bravo dishes for being there for your spouse when they needed you most! It makes me happy to hear stuff like this. I found methadone to be quite painful to stop, but I didn't do it properly either.

I call it honey oil..but pretty much the same thing....and I have....it def works better than plain old flowers...
just don't like the tech used very much.....to volatile ...if I could swing C02 extractions then, that appears to be the very best method...with an inert by- product..

What about a Tamisium Dan...closed loop and much less dangerous than a tube. Can actually be done indoors.

Tamisium I have heard of hippy and still quite a bit of equipment required....especially when you add the cost of vac-oven....in the mix too..
I had to put a hold on buying equipment....as well, as soon as the mmpr was announced....
I am finishing only those projects that were underway ,,,(greenhouse) already....since I will have to claim this stuff...(lawsuit)
if the whole thing comes apart....next month or after appeal of appeal or appeal....
I would have loved to continue to invest in my healthcare,,,,,because I see it as a cause and effect relationship...
which I don't mind spending the cash....on
Plus once its settle in the courts.....I can re-evaluate then....
To make this in line with the OP's original questions...hopefully he has not invested too much in grow gear and equipment....should they force him to stop using his prescribed medication.
The employer should also be made aware...how much money can be tied up with growing and supplying your mmj.
