Just need some reassurance about something.

Hi, not a newb grower here but this is just a safe place to vent about something. I know there isn't much you could say but hopefully some off you have had something similiar happen with no issues which would give me some reassurance. I think the only reason i'm being more critical is I had a year off and this is my first return grow.

The situation I've had is i'm currently mid flower and I noticed for the last 2 days I had a temp spike for a half an hour randomly in my dark period while out the house. I wrote it off the first day as maybe something in the home making the temps spike. However after noticing it did the exact same thing again today I knew something was up. Then it hit me.... the timer must of been knocked while changing it for the clocks recently changing. It was exactly this as I'm using a mechanical timer I accidently knocked a couple of the notches that turn it on at desired time.

So for the last 2 days my lights have switched on for half an hour and turned off again mid dark cycle. So I suppose the question is..... do you think this would be enough to stress them out and trigger a hermie? To be fair in the past I have had other situations like power cuts leaving them in the dark for longer than usual or electronic timers failing and the lights not going off for hours until I worked it out and I've never had this become a problem previously. (This is why I moved to mechanical timers as I've had so many issues with electronic timers) and also now... not enough good words can't be said about a temp/humidity sensor that has memory to check on app. I wouldn't of had a clue about this without checking out the app to see what the enviroment has been like.

I'm hoping since I caught it so early with just 2 days of this happening it won't be a problem. Obviously now I'll have to check around for nanners etc but I'd like to think they'll be fine. Just hoping some of you might of had similar stories and all has been well or maybe know some science as to when plants will react to light changes like this? Kind of like how they take a few days to even recognise they've been switched to 12/12. Maybe the same will apply to light leaks/disturbance of cycles.

Sorry for the wall I just wanted to rant here about it since it's a great place with great people.
Thanks in advance

Turn em back off and carry on. If they do cause something, nothing you can really do about it now. But if they didn't cause any issues, then worrying about it just adds unwarranted stress on you. Sleep tight little buddy. I think they'll be alright.

My current grow had 5 extra hours of light for 4 days. They got a little weird for a week or so but recovered well. I wouldn't worry about fairly brief light for 2 days.
That's what I was hoping to hear anyway. I've also had this in the past too so not sure why I am being concerned. Just kind of all in with this one so do need a good return from it. Also being first grow in over a year has got me returning with more meticulous care.... as the last one I did I got lazy and paid the price for it with a shit crop. I know they'll be fine but just wanted to hear something like this for peace of mind haha. Cheers
