Hey Moldy, try a 20oz or 32oz frozen water bottle in your bucket every 12hrs to help with those temps.
Trick is to fill the bottles up roughly 75% with water before freezing. The water will expand and contract as it's thawed and frozen.

Thanks!! Doh! Never thought of that! It will sure help when the high outside temps go down and I get a stronger light source as I have to stay fairly close with the T-5's. Good advice.

You rocks will stay moist as long as your bubbles are popping and misting close enough to get the bottom of the pots wet.
An inch or 2 between the top of the water and the bottom of your pots.
In the beginning, and until about 7 - 10 days AFTER the seeds sprout, I keep the pots submerged about an 1/2 inch to 1 inch IN the water/solution. They won't suffer or drown with adequate bubbles/air.

Second, get new nutes. Don't use those old ones.
Definitely get hydro nutes.
A lot of ppl use Pure Blend Pro, and reading the back labels it clearly says for soil or hydro soilless grows.
Soilless Hydro is things like Pro-Mix, Sunshine #4, Coco, Hydroton, Dyna-Roc, Rockwool, etc.
But I'd stay away from it all, except Hydroton and Dyna-Roc. The rest causes too much PH fluctuation IMHO. And no Pro-Mix or SunShine #4 in DWC obviously.
I have PBP for my soilless grows, but for my DWC I am using GH Micro and Bloom with PBP Cal/Mag and NOTHING more.

I'll make the switch today, I've jsut noticed that the airtubeing can be a source of light so i have to get some black tubing today. My Illuminator wont ship utill today so I'll have it next week. Do you think it's really necessary to put the girls under the HID till then Or just rough it out with the current under "lumenated" setup?

And if i understand you and BB57 correctly a good grow nute and a good flower nutes along with a good vitamin additive and I should really be good to go!

Ok, sorry for the delay in an update, been super busy the last few weeks. Got the Piss all jarred and weighed, and lets say it was more than disappointing. For it staying in such great health throughout the grow and being the densest nugs I have grown, it came in lighter than my last round. To top all of that off, the finished buds are lacking on potency on an unexpected level. I never thought something so frosty could be so weak. But enough with the complaining.

Piss from 65 days of 12/12
Total Weight: 14oz 6g
Aroma: A very nice mix of oranges, citris, and musk. Has a little bite that almost burns your nose a little.
Taste: Getting closer to the small, definetly citris undertones, but needs more curing.
High: A weak but balanced high/stone, my guess is 10-12%thc




And the Blue Kush is coming down this weekend. I already dehydrated a sample of that and that was as strong as the Blue Kush I have had jarring for 6 months. So Im pretty stoked about this chop. The Dehydrator always kills some potency(10-20%) and the fact that it was just as strong leads me to believe this run will be even stronger than the previous run, this may be due to the SnowStorm Ultra. I am glad its coming down to, I forgot how much the smell on this gorl get out of control towards the end of flower. 2 Cap1 ozone generators in the garage dont even make a dent in the smell. So here they are.

hello everyone, so everything was going good till i checked my plants yesterday and this is what i saw when i saw them. i really fucked up and i think it was because my air stones were clogged. i took off all the fan leaves because they all died off. i am so sad, but i need to know if i should just keep going or show i just chop them down. i already changed the pumps and stones and water. i am in the begining of week 6. can i please get some advise.

Owwwww Hey dude,

You gotta warn us before putting such graphic pics before our fragile eyes...... Seeing this happen to any persons grow after 6 weeks of nurturing would hurt any humans heart. I hope some of the more experienced RIU's here can save ur ARSE!!

BTW I'm gonna look through my J.Cervantes MJ Bible to see if there are any remedies in there for issues that resemble yours...

Air stones my ass, that shit is fried !
What were your ppm's and what strain are you running ?

And yeah, you need to cut them or most you can just pull off by hand. The whole stem.
Been there before.
You're at week 6, so that's outstanding.
This is sometimes a good starting point for flushing a 8 week strain.
Best way to flush first is with a mild nute soultion. 1/4 to 1/2 strength for a few days to a week.
Need some nutes to flush/rinse out the older salts and minerals, plain water alone isn't as effectice unless it's tap (mild ppm's).
Then plain water ph'd at less than 100 ppm's for another few days to a week.

Elite's Ultimate Chem 08 S1's @ Day 24. 6.5" tall and topped at 1st node on Day 10.
3 of each.
MM's been blooming for about 2.5 weeks now.

what up room.. just found this thread, ive just finish my first dwc and i like whats dwc does compared to soil!!

This one plant in diy 90ltr bubbler, Its uk cheese..

heres the set up
"3 600w hps , 4 diy bubblers 20ltrs ( uk cheese)
Diy 90 ltr bubbler/ Drip on for the few weeks,1 cheese plant
1 cheese in soil
2 Super S hazes - all in soil

Cool flo.. Yeah cant wait till chopping day!! Going to still do a 1 or 2 soil plants but im now hooked on dwcthats were the buds at!!

Well, the strain is sensi star and i never checked ppm. I been doing this for the whole grow and never used a different nutrient or never added more or less. It was the same thru out the whole thing. So you think I should just chop it. All the leaves are green but the tips are crispy and all the fan leaves are gone. Should I just keep going for 2 weeks or chop.

Madonna(day 1 & Hericules(day 3)
Rm Temp 80F
RH 45%
CO2 ppm 1500
PH 5.7-6.1
PPM's 250-350
Res Temp 69-72F






Despite a small nutrient burn during the first week, the Madonna's are doing great. I am hoping they will stretch a little bit more and fill out the screen a little better, but if not I know to just veg them for another 5-7 days. I have never had a strain eat so lightly. I just saw my first real drop in ppm's today. They went from 300 to 140 over night. Previously, they would go from 300 to 240 overnight. The Hericules went in smoothly and seems to be doing fine, I also hope they are a little more stretchy than the Madonnas if they are going to fill out my screen, but only time will tell.
