Hello all. :) I would like to get some feedback on people's past experience with Dutch Passion's blueberry. I currently have 3 fems in veg. They are 4 weeks old and I have begun to LST all 3. I've recently been reading alot of negative things about this strain for example, they herm easy...they don't tolerate stress well..high heat..ect. I'm hoping I haven't gotten in over my head here by LST'ing them. Any opinions or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Oh and don't be put off by the yellowish look of the plants in pic 3, it's just the light reflecting out of the cabinet! ;)

well, you'll probably be the expert soon here, nothing like a real grow
i've followed the DP BB grows when i can find them, still waiting for a good outcome, but each grower had their own problems

Well I already started to LST them and they are all showing fem pre-flowers. I'm going to stick it out and just stay on task with it and hope I get good results. I will definitely keep the thread updated...keep your fingers crossed! I'm hoping there is someone out there who has some real experience with this strain. Anyone?

ive only grown the dutch passion blueberry once, it was a freebie i got from attitude, i had no problem with it i grew it outdoors in a hot organic soil mix, i topped it many times that year to form a bush and it didnt herm on me, i got a pretty good yield of it, close to 2 1/2lbs, and it made sum super kill doe hash, i grew it a few years ago and didnt take any pics of it or id post a pic, idk if the seeds Dutch passion are shellin out now are still stable tho since its been awhile since i grew mine but theyre a reputable seedbank so it should still be a stable line but with feminized seeds there is always a chance they might herm

finishing one up now, got maybe a week left. looks simply beautiful. not overpowering in smell, unless you rub it. nice lookin nuggs, no signs of hermie at all that i can tell. Im very skeptical of the blueberry strains, as i think they taste great, but tend to lack the kick im looking for.

I've been chasing the "real blueberry" for 15 yrs now! A guy hooked me up with some stuff that tasted and smelled of blueberry...it was the best weed I've ever smoked!...and I have yet to find anything of such quality since!!...I'm hoping these 3 girls change that!

its really hard to find the true blueberry since there are so many hybrids and folks who dont kno what the strain they have really is they could say its blueberry and it could be something else, and really what is true blueberry, the first mention of blueberry i can think of is dj shorts, in 1981 he brought out his sweet kush indicas that brought with it the blueberry line, i would reconmend trying out dj shorts blueberry if u wanna try sum old skool real blueberry

I heard a rumor that Dj shared his bb genetics with Dp...but you know how rumors are. I'm going to order some of Dj's bb and see. :) I still have 2 Dp bb seeds so maybe I'll do a side by side!...all I know is I want some more of what I had all those years ago...it was off the hook...and I've smoked alotta herb in my days! ;)

ya dutch passion is one of the few seedbanks that probably did start out with dj's blueberry, but what they did with it afterwards is what they released as theyre blueberry, im sure they either jus started feminizing dj's blueberry or crossed it with sumthin then added a backcross to bring out more bb traits, but ya never know they couldve jus keep inbreeding with dj's bb, my dp bb was similar to sum of the dj's blueberry that was going around that year

The Original Blueberry is the flagship strain of the Blue Family, having gained great popularity amongst worldwide growers. Its name was chosen because of Blueberry's blue hues and its incredible blueberry aro
ma which is amazingly close to the taste and smell of real blueberries. The Original Blueberry was introduced to the Dutch market in 1998, together with Blue Velvet, Blue Moonshine, Blue Heaven and Flo, the other
members of the Blue Family. All of them were originally bred by DJ Short and adopted by Dutch Passion, made possible by a cooperation with the Canadian breeder. Blueberry is a heavily resinous mostly indica strain (80%), mainly consisting of an Afghani indica, the sativa genetics predominantly come from a Thai sativa and, to a minor degree, also from an Oaxacan (Mexican) sativa. These three truebred parental lines, old landraces that date back to the 70ies, represent the genetic framework for every member of the Blue Family. The Original Blueberry's participations in the High Times Cannabis Cup have been crowned with great success: In the year of 2000, it impressively dominated the competition, winning both
the overall Cannabis Cup and the indica category. In the following year, Blueberry took second place in the overall Cup and third place in the indica category. With a THC content of 19.5%, measured by an independent laboratory, Blueberry belongs to the group of strains that have to be considered very strong. But nevertheless its high is expected to be clear and euphoric rather than devastating.

I would venture to say this was a flavor additive, you can make any genetics taste a certain way with chemicals.....

Not sure how you can make that assumption...but okay.

Dutch Passion got the seeds directly from DJ and made their own selections for their seeds. You should have some good odds of finding something very blueberry but there might be a lot of variation within the plants. I have never grown DP's version but I know that BB and especially the DP fems are prone to hermies so be aware of that when your flowering.

thanx, those pics dont really do it justice, its much nicer in person. ill try n get a couple new shots in a day or two. the main cola is really nice now. running up on day 60, so it wont be long now. Most of its life it was raised on Xnutes, but has been on a Dyna-Gro diet the last few weeks (ran out of xnutrients)

the other plant on the left in the grow bag is a BC Seedking GodBud. not as nice as my first one, but I havent really taken as good care of it either.

Looking good Uno! I can't wait to see your final results! I just hope the decision to LST these doesn't screw me in the end. So far, I'm very pleased with the way the girls are coming along. All 3 plants are showing lovely fem pre-flowers! As soon as my 2 Sweet Black Angel girls are done, these babies are going in! ;)...so far, plant #1 is my fave! (1st pic)
