Does Keeping Plants In Veg Longer Produce Bigger Yield?

I heard through the grape vine that quote

" If you Keep the Plants in the Vegitive State Longer allowing the plants to grow bigger, stronger, and healthier THAN YOU NORMALY WOULD before you throw them into Flowering that it will drematically increase the YIELD AND the POTENCY of the crop"


Does anyone have any experience in this hands on, or can anyone confirm my friends Quote????

Im Really curious to see if this is tru but I dont want to waist my time for nothing!!

yes its true.now im not sure on potency but for sure on yeild.

yes... very very true my friend... this is why some people prefer to grow one or two monsters as opposed to growing a bunch of small plant,,, sea of green style.. you would get basically the same end result if you grow one or two bigger plants or maybe ten or so smaller plants that are vegged for a shiorter period of time...
some people prefer to grow bigger plants rather than a bunch of smaller ones as the penalties if busted are far less severe if you are caught with one or two plants as opposed to ten smaller ones... stupid, but true

the potency is all dependant on the type of strain it is but yes longer vegg will give u a higher yeild

Man I hope this is true. Sure seems to make sense to me. We have a grow going now that is identical to our last grow except these are about a foot taller. They don't seem to be filling in like the smaller ones did though. Killer looking colas, just the branches are not filling in. Our last one's were two feet tall and the whole branches were bud. These have some stretchy goin' on still but look really close to being done.

Potency is based on genetics and will not change regardless of vegetative period.

If your pot size cooporates, then yes. If you grow too big in one, you'll get diminishing returns and extended flowering.

Remember your plants will generally double in size when put into flowering. So you need to take into account how high you can raise your lights etc before you go growing a five foot tall vegging monster.
