Do You Guys Ship Stuff To Your House?

I'm thinking about buying some lighting equipment online (3 complete systems; hoods, ballasts & bulbs) and I was wondering if I could get some feedback from people who have done it before. Did you pay with your credit card? Did you ship it to your house (where you grow)? Is this safe? I'm a bit nervous about it, am I being paranoid?

It's not illegal to buy stuff from online, they don't know what you got in there, I just ordered and had shipped to my house 600 HPS set up from HTG and there was no indication on the package what it was it just said FRAGILE I think that's french LOL

Call me crazy, but I'd rather go to my local flea market and haggle with the Hydro store there for the best possible price on everything.

It's low key, cash only AND you get extremely good prices

i think you should order from a police auction site....thats where my buddy got his stuff, lol

everything online is tagged by the fbi anyways...this site is on a watchlist....google it. it took me a minute to find it, but its there.

lol mykul916 , the only thing I order online is my beans and as for my suplies I find the cheepest place around here. the CFL lights that I'm using were on sale so I saved $5 on a 10 pack as for the starting medium I just bought a 1,000 pack from my local hydro store my plant food was from other places because its cheeper then a garden store and cheeper then the hydro store

Yeah, that's what I was thinking about doing. But that breaks rule number one! I don't want to explain to any of my friends why I need to have a 100+lb delivery shipped to their house. I'm not telling ANYONE what I'm doing.

The other thing I was thinking about doing is having it shipped to a UPS store and picking it up. Only, I would probably have to show my I.D., which has my address on it...!?!

Yeah me too usually. I used to get 20% off everything back in the day when I was blowing up big. But I've taken a few years off and don't know anyone who works at the grow store near my house anymore. And, they stopped carrying Sun Systems and only carry Hydrofarm crap. My first grow was w/hydrofarm ballasts and I had so many probs I vowed never to buy their crap again.

I want to try those new digital electronic ballasts I've heard so many good things about. I want to buy them from HTG (smokin deals). From what I've heard and read they are really good as long as you don't pair them with those crappy growbright bulbs they sell.

Anyway, I think I'm going to see if HTG will send it general delivery to the UPS store, or UPS warehouse with just my name and phone number on it and let me pick it up.

You can get it shipped to the UPS center (or whatever you order from). Just go pick it up and your address isn't in the picture.

You need to see Christmas Story. When the dad is opening the grand prize it says fragile on the side and he Pronounces it FRRRAAGEELEA and says it must be french lol

I was gonna say something about the french word for fragile, beat me to it :bigjoint:

I don't trust anything through the mail, I just keep extra cautious.

Who said this site is on the FBI watch list?

I'm pretty sure there aren't any cops here.
