DIY with Quantum Boards

2 autos, 270 watts, 1.27 gpw........... this is just one of them... if you haven't grown autos, your not up to speed on them. My largest single auto so far gave my 13 oz, and than was grown in organic soil!

Autoflower is not bad but with 4 plants id look into photo instead.. it will allow you to veg longer and if you train and top them you will easily achieve 1gpw with QB probably much more if you do a good SCROG job and other environment elements are dialed in

this is the auto that gave me 368 grams, grown under burple Junk lights...lol Ohh, and I had to chop early (83 days ) as she got spider mites. She might have hit a pound otherwise. Grown in 15 gallons of organic soil, nothing else but RO water with 120 ppms of cal/mag

I still smirk about the hate STILL happening about autos. They make large plants , they smoke great , what's not to like ?
That little Dwarfy I ran weeks back has the most sweet cotton candy smell ever. Next one I pop will get her ass crossed with a larger cut .

Great plants !

I just grew a Mephisto 24 Carat. What an awesome little plant! yes it too was small, but I knew that. The buds ohhhh my! The best smelling buds I've ever grown! Very sweet and fruity. Excellent smoke too!

The best part about autos indoors is the ability run much lower wattages, which means cheaper more efficient lighting that runs cooler. Let's say you normally need 150W to cover an area, now you only need ~90W if you are running a 20/4 cycle.

Talking about grams per watt is sillier than usual at that point but it's a neat way to grow. I've grew a couple rounds outside last year, got about 3oz a plant with not much more than watering, in 65 days from seed. For me as a personal grower I like planting different strains, making my own seeds, and not stressing about much.

The quality is on par with photo strains to me, not much else to say about that.

Well , had to improvise a GROW area .... Mostly because all other areas are in full flower .
I popped a Cherry Bomb and needed a spot for 18/6 . I also germed a BXI Berry 47 X Deep sea creature Auto ..... But the first seed drop failed. So I germed another and sowed into the solo cup. There is a taproot this time ..... Lol.

Anyways , took the tripod mounted Quantum ( 304 3500k ) and made a Table Top Grow.
It is on a timer for 18/6. It was imperative to give these two new plants the RIGHT light instead of a solo CFL or something else. It actually works well here .

As the plants grow , I will be able to take down the flowering plants on schedule. And with a turn of the crank I can go vertical as they get growing.
I have more girls that will get chopped in about 4 weeks. So by then they can be moved and continue with the cycle. This might be my early seedling spot for more.
HLG 65 or 288 would have worked just as well here too.

Wifey really didn't give a shit , so I'm good.......... Lol.

I can't wait until I can run a bigger space again. I'll most definitely be needing an excuse to build a bigger QB fixture. Thinking of building a fixture that will add another 3000k 288 to the one I already have, integrated deep red flower initiator, and possibly integrated UV for flower.
For now, my QB is exceeding my expectations.

Pardon?? Spray paint?
Yeah spray painted the diodes black and beat all the equipment with a mop handle. Chopped the plant and destroyed a lot of my other stuff.
I’ve got the quantum’s cleaned up and they still work although one looks like it was left out on the interstate.

i must say these boards are very tough tho. To be whacked with a wooden mop handle hard enough to gouge the aluminum And then to scrub the paint off with alcohol all the diodes are still there and tight and light up. Only lost one molex.
