DIY with Quantum Boards

Jesus ... That 600H kit is awesome ..... The pricing is stellar compared to other rigs.
There is definitely a worthy successor to HID ..... Adjustable power / less heat and intense light.

I say grab all your HID bulbs , hammered finished hoods , giant fucking vent cooling , super lumen bullshit ballasts and put a signed Trump Photo in a box and ship to the God Damn Kremlin .......

These would look like a very cost effective upgrade to even larger grows ( commercially ) with less power needs and better light spread ( hot spots ) . Even with the reflectors.

What is the price? When is it back in stock?

Do they still sell cloth pots? I bought some of them but my guess it was not worth the effort any more.

Garden a la Quantum : Update

First the 3x3 .... 4 Board Quantum with Cobs ( power up time ! )
Quantums dialed to 208w ( slate 1 ) - gonna change these to slate 2 later.
Cobs at 120 w ( 3500k ) .... These run remarkably cooler than i expected and definitely recommend the pin heatsinks.
So round about 328 w for this grow - adjusted with dimmers and Kill a Watt meter. Temps max out around 81° and is fine.

GSG Clones are ending week 7 ( week 8 monday ) and is getting closer .... Fade has begun and will give a shot of Cha Ching tomorrow. Candy Dream ( 1 gallon sacks ) are week 2 ( going to 3 monday ) ... And smell sweet.

Batwing Qb - 3 panel
Power : 205 watt ( dimmed )
Optic Foliar spray

Amnesia is not in photo because i pulled for loupe checking ( week 7) and she is getting close.
The ICE BOMB ( F2 ) has blew the hell up and is throwing pistils. Very strong girl.
Royal Queen Quick One is flowering - showing dominate sativa and hopefully will add some weight. I have read mixed results about Royal Queen Seeds and we will see.

And another Candy Dream - growing just fine. I have a Tangerine Dream popped and sprouted waiting to occupy the 3x3 when i clear it.

Thanks @robincnn and @Stephenj37826 for everything. Looking forward to building another one ..... Going Beast Mode !!!

For those looking for a straight forward " Plug and Play " light system , you would be hard pressed to find anything else that gives you so much for less money. For the price of a typical BLURPLE panel , you can score a 260w kit and run rings around the Kung Pao panels.

Peace ...

@Budzbuddha Real nice setup man...quick question how tall do you anticipate your plants to be at finish? What heights are you shooting for?
They are at their last height - from floor ...they are usually 39" - 48 " give or take.
BUT the unusual part is i have NEVER raised or lowered light for grows.

Right now , this Ice Bomb is around 30-31" currently and about a 10" to a foot from lights .
It is NOT running max or i would bleach it. The 3x3 i get pretty even canopy without toO much interference , mostly LST . These lights seem to temper any unnecessary stretching. The Candy dream is a Sativa Dom strain and i really dont get corn stalk growth , i guess if i raised them they would stretch out.

Hey guys, Since this thread gets lots of traffic, I need some advice.
I am building some DIY boards and wanted some driver selection help. I got a thread Here but i'll summarize it.

Each board has 84 LEDS.
Each led is 6.3v @ 150ma
7 LEDS in series, 44.1v
12 strings total, 1800ma.

44.1v @ 1800ma

What driver? Saw lots of 48v drivers but dunno if this will hurt the LEDS. (i'm a LED noob)

Meanwell has
LPF-90-42 (90w 42v)
LPF-90-48 (90w 48v)
PWM-120-48 (120w 48v dimmable)

There's also a Sosen SS-100H-48 100 Watt LED Driver 36-48V Output 2100mA driver, but i'm worried it'll overdrive the LEDs too much. Don't know enough about electronics enough to know if that's safe or not.

In an effort to not clog up this thread, either reply in mine or pm me please :) (unless of course nobody minds)

Put both my 260w kits together today and will hang them shortly.
My word they are so easy to assemble! What a doddle. So light too, which was exactly what I needed after going a bit overboard on the heat sinks on the cob build.

Cheers @Stephenj37826 @robincnn :clap::clap::clap::clap:

Edit. @Budzbuddha That top shot of your light in the 3x3... Wow. That fixture is a real piece of art!

The driver will only give the leds what the want. So 48V driver on a 44 volt board is perfect.
