Datasheet says the ELG-240-C2100 is 93% efficient. Which LRS model has higher efficiency?
79-89% on the LRS
want to put 3x qb132's on a dimmable ip rated driver. would like to be able to max them out if necessary. Looks like that XLG would only give me 1400ma? Am i reading spec sheet correctly? edit: i don't think i am reading it right.
It goes from 1400-2100mA and fits 3x 36v board with the possibility of adding another later If desired. Plus its ip67.

Smaller and lighter than older meanwells. Efficiency 92.5 on the M version. Also considerably cheaper.

I also got a freebie from Mouser. In my early DIY days, I didn't fully understand what "hiccup mode" meant, their online support sent me a replacement within minutes, and then shortly after, I figured out the driver was fine....They originally said they wanted the "faulty" driver for inspection, but once I clarified the situation, they said to just keep it.

I'm not certain the slate2 heatsink will be enough to handle that. It might be with good airflow, but I'm reluctant to say for sure. The board can handle it power wise for sure.
I only have one single board, with a 120H (135 V1 kit) so my actual experience is pretty limited.

I'm always deferring to what HLG puts out as kits, or prebuilt combos, when it comes to the capabilities.

wouldnt it just put 3 in series to their max of 2800ma and youd only get 420w out of it.
Wouldnt have to use it full blast, just wondering if itd work like I think it does.

I am trying to decide between the 320W (3 288QB boards on a long heat sink) or 360W ( 2 96QB boards) for a 2x4 area. Can anyone give me a reason to go with one over the other.

From all I have read they seem to be equally capable, but I am wondering if one has more penetration, cooler temps, etc...

Thanks in advance!
the QB96 have added red and deep red, if you're into that.

You have the potential to crank the QB96's to higher wattages than the 288's, and if you're considering the rspec then the 96's are less expensive. I presume that with higher output come better penetration.
