Going to teach you a soldering trick. Buy low-temperature reflow solder.
apply where you need it with a toothpick or whatever. Place your parts, and get out the hot air gun.
Heat that mofo up until the solder flows and swallows the pins or pads, switch of gun, admire your creation, but keep it still for a few seconds while it sets.
I have assembled double sided PCBs with SOP28 and small parts like that.

well, i contemplated not mentioning this, but you don't neglect to mention negative results in an experiment.

100_2638.JPG this is what happens if you forget to save a setting on your buck converter and the power goes out. when it comes back on, it just goes to an "open" state, so these ran at 4.5 amps and 60 volts for about 5 minutes before they melted.....soooo, i remembered to save a setting on the buck converter, replaced the bad leds, and we're back in business...(and not to make it sound like i'm a genius working alone, i spent a good long time asking my friend for advice, and getting a lesson in why i'm a dumbass, and how to check each one for continuity and uniformity)

100_2639.JPG you were saying....?
actually, if you use the air gun and heat the board up a little first, the solder flows onto the pads very nice

Gonna find out LOL that's the plan. It's not for me I am growing it for my brother and stepdad. I can't tolerate that pepper with my meds straight up will need to eat it as a salsa or something myself.
they have a big chili contest here every year, with different categories, and a hot chili eating contest. i worked for a place about 5 years ago that was in charge of making the chili. they put a LOT of jolokia peppers in it. it was making my eyes water and my nose run while it was cooking. when it was done and we'd got it into the 5 gallon buckets to transport it to the contest site, we took the big stock pot we'd cooked it in, and ran water into it. it made a big cloud of steam that was like tear gas, we all had to get out of the kitchen and let it clear for about 10 minutes.
watching these guys eat this stuff was funny at first, then it was like watching a retarded kid keep running into the same wall over and over....it hurts, but he just can't stop, for some reason. the "winner" was crying, had snot running down his face, and couldn't speak.........enjoy those peppers.......

I got a salsa recipe we use that is great. I just add some habanero to mine for a little more heat. I think those ghost would make it to much.

Thought..... Sprinkle it up and down driveway no more shoveling snow. :fire:

That shit has so many uses, I repaired my phone line with it, splicing two wires by putting them in a little blob of the solder paste, and just heating it lightly with my lighter to flow it out.

My 2nd rotation with QBs, my first rotation was good but not great, I don't fault the boards, it was my first time using LEDs and more than anything else, the rotation wasn't ready to be flowered.
I was a little more patient with this run.
Strain: Gelato
Recirculating drain to waste
Coco, perlite, hydroton, #3 pots
6 QBs 3 drivers for 960w over 3'x6' table

Tomorrow is day 21 since flip, took these pics earlier today.
