Diy Trimbox

looks like he's looking for dents and what not

birds fly into those things all the time
crazy how 1 tiny bird can kill a million $ engine

i guess a protective netting is out of the question

Fix a wireless cam to this baby and you can just sit at home and send it to your Gorilla grow :)

I love the idea of the Dremmle type hand trimmer though ... defo making one :)

Thanks guys :)

This is my prototype trimmer.

An old 1/2 horsepower well pump with a cutting blade mounted to the shaft.

I built a box from wood and mounted the pump. The grate is a replacement grill.

At first I was going to use a thin piece of metal but it was spinning very fast. So I switched to the much safer plastic weed wacker trimmer line.

It does a great job at "Big Leafing"

My Spin Pro rocks. It's the clamshel bowl style where you crank the handle. It also turns your popcorn in to nice little nugs for smoking. Love it! It's $500 and worth it.

I've seen that unit in operation and it does indeed handle buds with care, and collects the trimmings and trichs for hash production. I'll be trimming by hand however, with Fiskars trimmers that are spring loaded.
