Im looking at the 37.7 v chips in 3000k color and if i could use those 300v pigtails i will def build a few bars this way to try out.i guess i will look at those links you gave when i get home, says not to open the page from my phone, which happens alot.thanks for that info @Malocan

The digikey one you shared is also 130V
I think the 300V is wire rating and not the connector rating.

omg then im SORRY for spreading FALSE informations....
SORRY guys, thanks robin for correcting me:/

Fuck then i did build my lamp wrong:(

Edit. i delete my post with wrong informations, that nobody got confused with my wrong informations.... Sorry again

I noticed on the DS that the B+W 449 comes in 3 voltage ratings; 80v standard and 150/450v "optional"
Seeing how you are the sole retailer of these holders to my knowledge, what was the price difference [if any] between the 80v, 150v, and 450v?

I like these holders but prefer to wire in series so the highest voltage holder is the one I'm after.

Test results at 750ma:
120mm 36C @1.2 lbs
140mm 34.2C @1.8 lbs
Profile 1 35C @2.8 lbs
Profile 2 41C @2.1 lbs
Hey Robin. Thanks for all the testing you do, it is extremely informative. I know active cooling will increase the amount of heat removed, but I have a question. Not looking for a specific numeric answer, but will the difference between the Tc of sst120 and sst140 increase in active cooling over say the 1.8C you found here?

For the small price difference, I am wondering if it would be an advantage to run the sst140 if I only need the sst120 for a mix of cxb3070s and Vero29s all at 700ma. You have done so much testing I am hoping you have an idea whether this is worthwhile even if you cannot show an exact answer.

Bender and writh does rating based on wire rating and contact rating. There are standard wire voltages. For holder contacts there is standard voltage and then for high voltage it may become a custom part and they may need to make changes.

Waiting on my seedlings so light is not in use yet. I let it run for 20 min. at 1400ma and those lenes get HOT! Think I'd like reflectors better to be honest But we'll see how the work soon. I've got 4 Dinafem Fruit sprouting. And considering the shit lights I had in there before, ( don't ask..lol ) I'm curious to see how just this one light performs.

@pop22 The glass lens looks great .
How are those 120 working for you. Staying cool.

The 120 and 140 may run at same temps if you are underdriving and have some airflow in tent.
For 700ma on 36-38v cobs the 105 is fine. 120 is more than enough.
Using a heatsink any bigger is not going to help much and will increase the weight of lamp and cost.
Mixing 3070 and vero 29 in series is fine but not in parallel.

I think you're gonna love it.

Dont you carry the "optional" 150v rated holder on your site? Was it more expensive to carry that than the standard 80v?

Ohh, I have no doubt! Going to build a second one soon!

I'm running the Citizen 1825 chips
Just finished testing my 1825s out. Took me a long time to get everything together and ended up going for a basic set up. Sacked off holders due to voltage rating, sacked off reflectors due to lack of holders and ended up soldering and thermal epoxying everything on to my massive frame.. I just had to tell somebody!! Will make a thread and take some pictures in the next day or so.
No where near as elegant as yours though pop22! Very sexual fixture indeed!! :hump:
Thanks for the Clu058s @robincnn

All the thanks for that good looking light goes to Northern Growlights for the major parts and that , nice, Mod420 frame! Yes, the only down side of the Citizen chips, starting with the 1812, is the lack of supporting hardware. So guess we find a way to hack our own from existing parts. And the need for multiple drivers pretty much kills their price edge. But, the performance makes them worth it, IMO.
