Yea I know. I just don't see any advantage of water cooling that couldn't be achieved with a cheaper and more convenient method.

Meanwell HLG-120H-C1050 or the new ELG-150-C1050 to run them at about 145W and HLG-185H-C1400 to run them just under 200W.
Ok ill look into those 2. Would u happen toknow how many fans can run on an apv 12 12 i belive a bunch cause it is constant?

Impossible to tell, depends on which fans. Standard PC fans usually don't consume more than 2-3W so 4 fans should be a safe bet. APV isn't a constant current source though.
I do appreciate the help. They drivers can be confusing ugh. What driver is best for each individual cob? Most wattage out of em for max light output?

If you want max power (wattage) from your COBs, you'd better stick with a HPS. I wouldn't drive CXB3590 over 80-100W and preferably less. And drivers for individual COBs are painfully expensive.

Price is not to much of a issue have about 700 to build a good light. Just looking for brst way of doing it. Right now i have a mars 1600 and a kind l600 in both 5x5 tents. Wanna replace those with something diy and better

Are you trying to build a light for one tent or both? Don't forget besides cobs and drivers you also need heatsinks, fans, wire, etc - $700 goes really quick.
The plan is to have 8 3590 in each tent replacing the other ones and selling them on ebay to buy more parts. One I'm currently considering is replacing a diamond 600,then the kindl600 next I may keep both my 1600 just for the extra bloom and spectrum for veg. Just pretty much I'm trying to go big. I am really curious how liquid cooling would affect the temperatures of the LEDs. The new closed loop systems work pretty well. I will upload picture of one of my tents.

My advice, and what Alesh was trying to get at I think, is pick a different COB. The CXB3070 or Vero29 would be a lot more cost effective. Here is a link to Octoparts.com, it is a good site to get an idea of how much your build will cost who has the best prices for your components. Also, if you use a Meanwell HLG-185h-c1400 you could run four cobs per driver, which would save a lot of money and eliminated the need for water cooling. Inventronics does a 150w 2.1a driver if you want more power, but you could only run two cobs on each. Power goes up, but cost does too.

EDIT : Looks like a HLG 320H-C series in under development too ...
I emailed the sales manager at an electronics house about availability of the HLG-240-C series drivers and he responded:

"I checked with Mean Well who advised this and another series in constant current type are still under development and not yet available. Since both are series in the catalog this usually means they have yet to pass UL. It could be six weeks or six months depending on UL’s workload these days. I suggest you check back with me in a month or two to learn the latest status."

Perhaps the "another series" is the HLG 320H-C series. Those waiting for these new drivers may find his response of some interest despite it's limited utility.

I think they bring out a lot of new products ELG 150 was a great surprise (!) ... Could be ELG 250 or yet another one ...
but sunpower UK seems to be confident enough they can get hold of 240H-C's to send me this :

EDIT : Oh yeah, I found a HLG 320 "equivalent" btw, more info soon

Can i link this 3 driver together ( in parallel so ) pass through terminal electrical blocks (this last i supposed must support 3x2.1A at least )
to 1 electrical outlet ? or each driver must have his own outlet ?

You can. You'll have to able to supply at least 2.85A (3x0.95A; see the spec sheet) if you're running off 120V. You might experience some problems w/o type C circuit breaker, though.
2.15A/driver is DC current.

Ok , ok , so sure i can ?? sorry to insist , but you can understand me ; i'm a little worried about this .
I just read datasheet , i'm on 230V , so it will be 3x0.5A so 1.5A .
but i dont know , how many A , power outlet can delivered here in europe .
The electrician guy one day told me that my electric meter run 40A for all the home .

but i supposed , the 3 drivers mounted in parallel or not will take 1.5A to the general electric meter in all case ( i dunno the word for this , hope you see what i mean )

European outlet circuits are usually equipped with either 10A or 16A circuit breaker. 40A is your main circuit breaker and each circuit in the next level (such as lights, bathroom, outlets, ...) have a smaller one.
Type B is "quick", type C is "slow". Slow breakers can tolerate much higher inrush current (ie when a not-resistive load is being turned on).
Typical European outlet can handle (3) NPF-90 easily.

I can't say about the timer since I can't find any spec sheet but as it's designed for 4x600W HPS you should be ok.

Hey guys I need some advice. I currently have a couple of DIY Cob panels that I'd like to upgrade. In a side by side with HPS they fell a little short but I still believe done right they'll outperform the HPS. So on one side I had a 3x6 tray with 2 HPS 1000 dumbed down to 500 each, the other side had 3x6 tray with 3 panels pushing approx. 140w each with Vero 18's at 3000k. Each panel has 4 V18 at the corners driven at 1.05 amp by a 4 channel inventronics and 1 v18 in the center driven at 700ma.. The difference seemed to be about 25% less weight off of the V18's so I figured I'd bump them up to 2 amp, unless that's overkill. I'd like to do this with one driver and have it dimmable. That would be 5 Vero 18's in series.

I've found these 5 channel inventronics but they are only 200 watts, so 5 Cob's at 1400ma = 42.3w each would be 211.5w. Will these work.

Is there a Mean Well driver available that will run 4 cxa3070's @1050mAh with full utilization or would I have to add some 1w chips or something to max out the voltage?

Or even change how many amps they will pull to fit 4 on one dimmable driver?

I have 5 heatsinks with fans and I am building a veg light and a clone light with the remaining heatsink and fan. I really only need the drivers but I'm still out of my league on figuring out the best ones with efficiency being #1

EDIT: I found the HLG-185H-C1400A, If I'm doing my math correctly.. I can only get 3cxa3070's on one, but they will put out brighter than @1050mAh.. Would that be a sufficient substitution? Then with the remaining two for the clones..? Is there a driver that will put out say 700mAh for 2x of these cobs? is 700mAh sufficient for a 24"x24"x24" cloning box?

Sorry for all the Q's.. my head is spinning!
