Why do you even need one and why mist at all?
Its very dry here and its only got worse in the last couple weeks with it getting colder.
Too low humidity and bad cuttings are the only thing i can think of after going back over everything unless im just missing something major

Are you using anything in the water? Should be using straight water and water temps should be 75-80, 78-80 ideally. Also ive never had to spray cuts in my cloner even when my humidity has be around 40. Also i would run the pump 24/7. One of your last pics showed roots forming, what happened with those?

Just using a rooting concentrate that I linked a few posts back and ro water
Water temp stayed right around 80 running 15/15. I ran it 24/7 for a few days empty to try it out and water temp got up to 87.
Ph stayed pretty solid right around 6.0.
There were 2 of 20+ that had anything after over 3 weeks. Most of the stems were mushy and rotting so I started over.

They were my first clones so I just think I took bad cuttings

This is them right now, they seem to be reaching up more and staying greener than the first set.
Ive been going down and blowing a fan in the enclosure and the inside of the tote to refresh the air a few times a day then giving them a light misting.

You really should be cutting those larger fan leaves to a 1/4-1/3 the size on each finger of the leaf. Don't remove it, just shorten the fingers dramatically. Helps a whole lot.

After reading a bunch of stuff about how roots grow the most at night I knocked them down to a 16/8 schedule from 18/6
within a few days I now have this!
Today makes 14 days since they were cut.
I don't know bout all that.... I've seen roots in 9 days with 24HR schedule. I rarely see anyone doing anything but 24 while cloning.

None of these plants seemed to like 24 hour as seedlings either? All the cuttings are from 3 plants. I started them on 24 and the roots didnt take off till I switched it to 18/6.
Idk if it had anything to do with it or not lol.
Just happy to have roots!

Next time I hope I remember to skin the stem since my entire root mass is growing out of the 1/4 inch 45 degree cut on the bottom of the stem.

Really happy to hear your advancement in cloning.

Thanks!
I didnt do that with these at all, I just cut all the growth coming out of it off flat.
I skinned the first set some, but not the 2nd.

That may have been what did your first set in, maybe introduced some infection and they had no layers to defend themselves with.

Just something interesting.

The below pic is of 4 clones that have been sitting in the cloner for over a week with no spraying, no bubbles, no cleaning, no sterilizing and surprisingly no root rot.
Isn't root rot supposed to blow up in the above conditions?

No.
Google 'Kratky' and you will find several examples of perfect grows under such circumstances.

I don't want to devolve fragile's thread and I understand Kratky but what I don't understand is this.

Everytime a dwc or hydro grow goes wrong it's always the same old thing, more oxygen and fewer light leaks. This argument, to your point, doesn't take into accout the kratky method but that also has little to do with my point, PATHOGENS and the enviroment in which they breed uncontrollably.

My cloner has light leaks, no oxygen and pretty much everything that should contribute to root rot but it didn't. Yet my undercurrent which is much better built with more oxygen and no light leaks has been a haven for root rot with the addition of root rot killing applications as well.

Growing green above wasn't my point but more so growing brown below was.

I clone on a diy'ed cycle timer. each tab is about 50 secs on the timer. 2 tabs on, 3-4 tabs off. Tap water only. I'll get some shots later as I just dropped a cloner full of them(20 or so) in maybe 3 days ago.
I had to check my cloner because a member mentioned my root color. I chalked it up to the recharge, and later thought to myself.."it's never turned my roots colors." Sure enough, there was a self tapping screw from a manifold downgrade in the damn bucket! Rusty Roots!
I went the cycle timer idea a while back when I slept by the grow. The constant hum of the motor 'effed up my sleep pattern. 24hr cloning certainly worked for me also.
