just found out today i think my little buddy is a girl. its still got the problems though, bottom 2 leaves are dead, 2-3 leaves lookin a little wilted and yellowing

(In order with pictures)
1. Is this a female?
2. What is the problem with the yellowing?
3. Why are the roots coming above the fkn soil!? i put more fresh soil around it, then pulled it back off a little to show how it was before the soil addition

when you water are you using a watering can or just a jug when you dump water on the soil it will wash the soil off your roots now for your other trouble i would need to know a little more info like are you growing outside or inside what nuts are you using how often are you watering and things like that

i would say improp nutri or pH is off. and i am with crow you got to watch that you are not just dumping the water on the plant cuz it will move the soil around.

I'd say yes I think it's a female. Some yellowing and dying off of the very bottom is okay and normal but your plant looks underfertilized or there is a problem with your ph and their is nute lockout. I think your okay as far as roots sometimes the big thick ones are visible at the top of the soil, kinda like a tree trunk.

these are grown outside in the SW Florida sun every day. they sit in pots on a table so nothin can touch them. i use store-bought water bottles to water the plants, i just pour some on the soil and watch it soak in. i usually pour a LIIITTTLLE bit of water until i see a little coming out the bottom of the pot. i only water when i can move my finger around the soil and the top inch is dry. i dont use nutes. just bottled water. thanks for all the help. these are just mids bag seeds i just want a little something to have to my own. no chron. no kush, nothing special. i do not pour water to where it gets on the leaves or anything, because this sun down here will burn the hell outta the plant. soil only...

how old are they? When a female is about to bud it is normal for it to turn yellow around the bottom leaves, this looks more of a human error than a natural cycle so im guessing either root rot (from over watering) or you are watering incorrectly and causing the soil to uproot the plant.

ps....

the big stem going into the soil (is there a name for it?) has purple stripes all the way to the top, and the stems off of it are hairy purple. is this normal? and when should i enter the 12/12 cycle? i thought maybe it would produce more potent if i got her fixed before she went into budding. but ive also heard some people get their best harvest off of a sick plant...

This is my female. notice the hairs. notice the purple stems, and the purple-striped main stem/root. what causes this?

Why does this plant look so down and depressed?

being as they are out doors... purple coloring may be from the temperature fluctuations going on. as for the flowering, florida has amost 12 hr light and 12 hr of dark (give or take for the sun trying to come up and trying to go down). they may just be trying to flower cause of the light cycle you have them on already LOL (link to weather.com, look at details under the number.)

Cant really guess at the first two problems from the pics and info given. But as far as the roots go. Those surface roots are also known as anchor roots. They sometime get exposed, no worries. The more they are moved by the wind and you they will thicken up. Its the plants way of remaining upright. They do feed some also, but the main task in achorage.

you might want to try to give it some nuts what kind of soil did you use it might need a little help and yellowing is ok when you are blooming but i would still think about about some nuts as they bloom

the female is a couple months old i believe. i put the new pics up to show how big they are so you can kinda guess.

for the soil, im not sure, swim got some soil from where he works, and he said that it makes plants grow quick and healthy.

i looked online and it said there is basically 12/12 in florida, but i wasnt sure if it was right now at this moment, if so, then i cant wait :)

i know when the plants go into flowering, they get 2-3 times the size they are now, so is this a good size for them to start flowering???

uhmm that dont sound sick it sounds quite good accuatly. Do you know the strain or did you just save seeds off of a good sack?
you saying that the yellowing and slight wilting possibly may not be a bad sign? maybe its showing that its putting all its energy in so it can start budding?

for the strain, i just saved these seeds from a reaally good mids sack. the plants smell really strong right now, and i figured since i can tell that its a female, that its possible going to try and bud.

thanks everyone for such quick and helpful responses! keep em comin!

It really depends on the size of the plant if your going to bud indoor or outdoor,it's definately not the season for outdoor where I live. When you start budding your plant it will grow like crazy and actually start looking way better if your treating her right. Let your plant use the water in your soil before you water again, every time. The purple on the stem is just slight signs of stress it is common with outdoor plants. If your plant gets real bad i'd just bud it.
