Discovery Weed Wars

is it just me or does anyone else think parts of this show are scripted?? After watching episode 2 and 3 it just seems so fakee. especially the scene with lil'stevie stealing shit. If i stole a pound of weed and got caught doing it, i would not want my name and face out on national television..

It is interesting to watch, but still don't feel as if it's a great look for the cannabis world. Guys need to be professionals 24/7

brutal.
epic.
failtality.
I know folks who feel that way who have been involved a long time. I think the concern is government regulation would drive out the indie farmers as well as screw the market up, corporatize it etc. And then some just want to keep prices high. It was disappointing though, to say the least.

Mickey Martin, the Cannabis Warrior, wrote a blog about it. He called it "the fuck you finale of weed wars"

What isn't widely understood is that for any law/bill in this country to pass it needs to majority. Now with politics this is often often skewed, but the majority is all the people that still think cannabis is not the norm. The same people that intellects undermine, the uninformed masses, those are the people that need commercialized products to understand. They want acceptance, not just people telling them its not dangerous. It is sad to say, but cannabis needs to be commercialized and mainstream for any type of legality. But I believe the culture shock that would happen, would completely change what commercialism and the mainstream is all about.

Think what you want, but I dont think this show is gonna do anything for our cause. As Potheads we all should boycot this show.

fuck you if you dont like what non smokers think about a burnout, I love weed, every single thing about it. its more than a plant we smoke to get high, it is a way of life, a philosophy in and of itself. Nothing else on this planet has the culture behind it that weed does. I have never met a pot plant iO didnt like, met a few I wouldnt smoke, but still appreciate them for the beauty they are.

My first thought when seeing the commercial for weed wars was "oh. no, thats not good." See, discovery thinks they can hop on the weed bandwagon, and make money off it like they do everything else. They think they can make us believe they are our friends, and part of the subculture, they stick out like a narc at a frat party, just saying. this show is like the undercover cop, trying to make a true pothead believe he loves the ganj as much as you do.... they always fail.

This is the yuppy thats thinks its kool they can afford a 500$ OZ, and get baked off a single hit. They like how they are so mainstream, and hip to what the kids are into. im sorry, this show is not going to help. They want to celebritize something that already has all the notoriety it can handle.

What they dont realize is this is not what we want, most of us just want to be left alone while we enjoy our fav herb, we dont want to be criminalized, and penalized, for enjoying a fucking plant that will grow in the ditch if you let it. we dont want the sensationalism, we dont want people who think pot is bad to have any say in what we do. hell I dont want people who think pot is as wonderful as I do, to have any say in what we do. Its my choice to do what I want.
always has been, always will be.
Cannabis is a simple plant, and a simple people enjoy it, however the culture that surrounds it is very complex. you cant fake being a stoner, burnout, pothead, or any other name you want to put to it. simple as that. any one who cant handle that can fuck off.

Im a pothead and proud of it.

Sorry, just got up, havent had my coffee yet.........

Love it man !! Couldnt have said it better myself.

There is a bunch that is scripted. Little Stevie sounded like a little bitch didnt he. His fucking high pitched, winey crying hurt my ears. I wonder if little Stevie and Dangelo are giving eachother massages in private. Happy ending anyone? LoL (((Im sure they gave him the pound to do it. The gifter probably gifted the pound just for that purpose. Who the fuck in there right mind is gonna give away a whole fuckin pound of Dream Queen unless it really sucked anyways, or the grower is desperate to get a foot in the door for them to buy from him. They turn down a bunch of growers because they have alot of people bringing product in everyday.))) But that does make HarborSide look bad for lack of security. Dangelo just wanted to look like a loving, caring, compassionate guy so he would be liked by the ignorant masses when he let Stevie go for 6 months to get help for his pain medication addiction. I still like the show though. I wish MASSACHUSETTS would stop being such stuckup masshole dicks and open up some dispenceries. But I guess they have enough money with CIGARETTES and the LOTTERY. I guess they wouldnt need another 100 million a year.

That was HILARIOUS!!!!!! I laughed so hard I just about pulled a muscle in my side. He said it wasnt for him though. He probably got way to high. He got the strongest concentrate they sold. LoL
But ya man, the employees being over medicated looks really really bad. They tried to make that guy out to be a pothead looser that gets taken advantage of by the grower guy who worked in clones for a minute, with the Sage n' Sour Kush. He said "he will work for peanuts." Thats fucked up. Im glad his work got spider mites as bad as it did and they turned down his finished product for mite larvea and mite dingleberries. LOL

Upset Steve said he did not support full legalization.
I was enjoying the show up till that point myself. If he only supported it for medical use himself then what was his excuse every time he sparked up a blunt then chased it with a bong or scoffed a handfull of edibles? Back pain? Glaucoma? The nervousness of being judged lacking by most of the medical cannabis community? Every time I hear the word 'medicating' I feel an overwhelming urge to throw my bong at the TV.
