Hey all. This is my first indoor grow. Using 5 TGA subcool Querkle and 6 DNA Genetics Lemon Skunk beans along with 3 free fem attitude threw in. Using a 1000W MH-HPS air cooled hood set up to a carbon filter with 6 inch inline fan. I also have a booster fan at the end of the ducting, but was turned off because my tent is reaching a max air temp of 66 F degrees. Not sure how I am going to raise the temp yet. As I said this is my first indoor grow so feel free to comment and give suggestions!

Well after looking at other grow journals I noticed how sloppy mine looked. I have reorganized, cutting most of the ducting out so it stays in the top of the tent. I also decided to hang my carbon filter. And last but not least, removed the ballast from the tent. For the record its 6.5x6.5x6.5 ft

Well I had a'lot of problems. Could not keep my temperature past 65 and my humidity higher than 40%. Fixed these problems and all the plants I have are doing great. Ended up losing about 3 plants tho. It ended up stunting my plants growth as you can see. All are nice and healthy green and starting to grow fast!. Currently have my ballast dimmed to 750w. Current temperature is at 83 with 60% humidity

Week 2. Close up on the left is a Querkle Picture on the right is a Lemon Skunk. They are doing great :). Still have my ballast set to 750W, planning to turn in up to 1000w in 1 week. Started giving 1 tsp of Grow Big to the gallon last feed.

One day short of week 3. Going to wait until they have they're 5th leaf set to top. I noticed they was a small white spot on one of the plants from water. So I raised my hood 3 or 4 inches. Any advice on when you top?

Looking good and healthy. My DNA lemon skunks looked small and weak all through vegging compared to the bagseeds I started simultaneously, they really took off after switching to 12/12. Be prepared for a lot of stretching (I wasn't).

Week 4! I topped about 4 days ago and boy did it slow the growth down! I fed them with a little extra Big Bloom and Grow Big yesterday and it really helped get them growing at a fast pace again. I accidentally clipped a fan leaf off of a Querkle plant :(. I felt so bad and apologized to it so much! It seems to be very forgiving and has continued growth. Cheers everyone, time for some bubbler tokes! bongsmilie

Looking good, not sure which are the lemon skunks in your pics, some seem to have some real tight node spacing which I think is nice. Not sure if those are the dna lemon skunks or the querkle.

I have quite a few pics of the lemon skunks throughout veg in my noob journal (in my sig), probably too many pics, but I was always searching for other journals with pics of the same strain to compare. Not trying to derail your journal, but here's pic from today of the lemon skunk clones I took about 3 weeks ago:

Outside clones are lemon skunk, middle one is a strong bagseed. Training them much harder this cycle, the skunks grew so much during the first 1-2 weeks of flowering it was ridiculous. Was considering killing off one of them because it looked so small and scrawny going into flowering, then in a few weeks it grew bigger/taller than anything else in the room.

Following this closely, keep the updates coming please, I enjoy reading them. I'm still a noob, but would be glad to try to help with anything I have learned from others on this site. Good work so far.

The Querkle was very nice. Not very much stretch at all on those however, so make sure they're big enough before you flip em. Mine didn't even double in height, but nice tight buds! Mmmmm grapey! :weed:

Those 3 are lemon skunk. Also how far away do you keep your light? I have mine at about 3 feet. Also after I topped you will notice the new leaves have grown in very strange. Instead of leaves growing and starting from the top and sides and growing out it seems they have just started from the bottoms. Very strange!

Everything looks ok to me. Running a 600 atm, so little less heat than your 1k, but I typically hold my hand underneath. If it's warm, it's too close. soon as you stop feeling the heat, that's the height I use. Since you say your room only gets to 66 degrees, you could probably get a bit closer, but I'll let someone with some 1k experience chime in. Also, could get a fan speed controller to lower pull on tube and raise temps slightly if you can't dial it in.

My room stays at 84 degrees but I just turned it down to 83. Going to slowly reduce heat until in flower. The 66 degrees was before I set up my climate control.

So I discovered on two of my querkle plants that the lower leaf looks yellow. From what I have read the leaves with just 3 points coming off them naturally die off, but I am worried. Also the fan leaf looks like the edges are starting to turn more of a yellow green than solid green. Should I be worried? Any thoughts?

On another note, I got myself some promix and Lime that I will mix with ocean forest for transplant into 3 gallon grow bags.

Week 5. They all seem to be doing pretty well. I transplanted them today. Hopefully they do not stay in shock for too long. I also added an "exhale" co2 bag. I could tell they like it seems to make them more green and "perky". I hope I am doing good so far!? Going to turn my light next week.
