Did I Ruin My seeds/Seedlings?

Okay, so I started my seeds w/ some seed started plugs, and a humidity dome with fluorescents about 20in from the top of the dome.

Most my seeds seem to have germinated just find, but I noticed some are growing different than others. Is the shell of the seed supposed to be growing upwards towards the light(???), because some of the seed remains are growing up, and some the "root" is growing up and the seed is still in the hole. I drew a picture so you guys could better see what I'm describing.

Is there anything I can do to help fix them, or save them since some said the roots are pushing the seeds out...

I NEED URGENT HELP

It's normal for the seed casing to hang on for awhile. It'll fall off once the leaves start sprouting, and shouldn't be removed by the grower. As far as the ones growing upside down...I've never seen that happen. I assumed that gravity would take care of that and cause the roots to always grow downwards. Hmm...*scratches head*

I didn't close the hole when I dropped the seed in, and I didn't push the seed into the plug in the beginning.

But are you saying that this is normal? Was I supposed to close the hole when I dropped the seed in, or is the seed growing upward normal?

I'm just freaking out wondering if I should go fix them or adjust them, and close the top off.

What do you suggest?

I think the drawing is inaccurate. Anyways like said should pop off. I had some do this to me this year for the first time...some bagseeds..and I had to try to get it off after a while and was successful killing one and the other there was nothing I could do it was all yellow I got the seed off but it still died, so yeah leave em alone.

What not enough replys on your other thread.
Hate multi threads form the same guy about the same thing in the same day.

lol just a problem for me. I'm on way to much. But like I said in your other thread they should come off but if not give them a little pinch to help loosen the skin. I've done it lots of times. And yes I've killed a few but they would have passed on any way.

why are my seeds growing up w/ it? How do I avoid this?
for the seeds that haven't grown above the 'starter plug' should I try to close the hole?..or just leave it alone?

How long should I wait to try to pinch them off? Should I give them a chance to shake the seed by themselves? Is there any reason this is happening to all my seeds? ... it seems like all the seeds are growing up w/ the root, what went wrong?

first off I would say loose the plugs and use seedling soil. I don't use plugs. When I start seed's I poke a shallow hole place the seeds and cover with just a few grains of soil

Yea, but they're moving into rockwool in a week or two when they're ready for a hydro setup. I'm not growing w/ soil.

well that does change thing up some. I've never done seeds for hydro.
Yea, the problem originally started in the hydro section...

Does this mean I might be okay... or in more trouble.

Most/some people germinate, then place in rockwool and close the hole n hope 4 a sprout. I was told to just add water, drop seed, turn light on...

and it doesn't look like things are going 100% great right now (major fingers crossed)

I would think if the skins come off you'll be ok there. are you going to put the pulg into hydorton or some such thing?

Maybe you're confused as to how they grow? The leaves will sprout from inside the shell, not at the other end of the root. :)
I wasn't 100%, but I was pretty sure (this is my 1st grow) but I was spooked when someone told me I had a problem from not pushing the seed into the 'starter plug' ... I also didn't close off the hole when I dropped the seed in, and that's what people do w/ rockwool, so that sketched me out a lot, too.

I hope everything is as good as it could be right now, because I don't wanna have to restart and get new seeds.

Yea, the plugs will go into rockwool cubes, and after they get a little bigger the rockwool cubes will go into a pot w/ ' hydorton,' yes... if I can get it there. and if I can get these little seeds to survive.

(hope I'm not in trouble)

So some of the seeds seem to be doing fantastic, but some look like they may be in a little trouble (i.e: picture 3, bottom two.)

I'm going to check back on them in about 7-9 hours, and try to remove the seed w/ some sanitized tweezers if I feel like they can't handle the job themselves. (good idea or bad?)

Any suggestions or comments again would be MORE than appreciated!
