I do believe OGD was right, I've recently had an increase in ppm , went from 70 ppm to 280 ppm out of the tap, I can smell chlorine or chloramine and my hydro went to shit, no growth and straight up killing things in hydro left and right. It prompted me to go to soil for a cycle or so, I've just installed a RO filter and am gonna give the dro another go.

What about aged tap?
and if it is chloramine then it doesn't outgas like chlorine, letting it set for 24 hours won't do, the way to remove the chloramine (so I've read) is to over chlorinate and then subject the water to UV .oh I already said that.

I just picked up this 5 stage ro/di water purification system from purelyh20. This specific one has 2 carbon filters specifically for chloramine and chlorine  . Only paid 150, (which is WAY cheaper than hydrologic) and you get so much more out of it. Worth every penny.

Does anyone know if it is the Detroit system yet?

I'm not having any problems in Pro-Mix grow; but I would like to know before I fill my aerocloner again.
I tried looking it up on their website; but it's Detroit so...

I'm doing ok in soil but hydro went to hell. Nice score phuzy, I just picked up the a hydrologic 100 gpd filter myself, thing was kinda pricey even though I got it at a pretty good price (thanks J!). You can get a report of your local water, not sure how though, it was easier just to go out and buy the RO filter. I'll be starting up some cuts tonight in the cloner, should go better than last run (was 100 percent failure).

but if you aren't filtering out chlorine/chloramine you're killing the beneficial bacteria in the pro-mix at the very least.
