CURING: one big jar or multiple small jars? whats better?

Small and open less. That way if you mess up on a jar you don't ruin a large batch.

I use multiple 1 pint jars. Reason - If all your bud is in one big jar and you get "the fuzzy" you're screwed. If you use multiple jars and one gets "the fuzzy" you're only a little screwed.
 
I agree, multiple smaller jars. Like MonkE said, when you open a jar to fetch some buds you interrupt the curing process. The longer you keep the other jars sealed the better they cure.
 
I have used a bunch of small jars or one large jar, and the large jar takes a lot longer to cure...but when it happens it seems to be somehow better...almost nothing molds where I am though since the air is so very very dry...
 
The best way and the new way I might very well start doing all my harvests is the way I do my popcorn nugs...I put them all in a cardboard box, or paper bag and just put them somewhere that is well ventilated and just leave them alone for a couple of weeks...when you get them back down they will be dry, but just perfectly so that when you out them in a jar they lose the crumble, but can regain it if need be...
 
i hung my stuff in a carboard box, cut a 6 inch hole in the side and stuck my 6 inch duct fan with my carbon filter on it to pull the air and moisture out. took about 4 days to dry enough for curing.

Multiple jars. What happens is everything is fine, then one of the jars won't smell just right. I immediately dump that jar into the clipped, dried shake box for a few hr. The dried bud leaf shake acts to pull the moisture out and kills the off smell. Then back into the jar. I just turned out 8 oz in a dozen perserve jars. It's not so hard. I can burp the box of jars in only 3 minutes.

So, you don't want to use just one jar. A little mildew means the entire jar is contaminated.
 
got a big jar thatll hold a half pound and a dozen 1 pint (jelly) jars. put my big buds in the big jar with a meter to keep an eye on the humidity and the rest is spread throughout the 12 smaller jars. think i got it lol
 
walmart sells a small Thermometer/RH% for like 7 or 8 bucks its small enough to fit in a large glass jar (not the pints) and it mesures the rh% in the jar so you know if it ever gets to high you need to burp the jar and let it breathe

Hey just wondering is burping the jar to control the humidity? So if I were to cure in the driest place possible I would never have to open and this would give me the best cure? I never understood the point of burping I thought it was to just let the buds breath?
