Curing Huge Yields

Sorry guys/gals i have been trimming all day! A lot of work for just one person I am getting ready to high drate and get back to it.

-I would love to use glass but i just don't have anything big enough to hold capacity like that.
-An aquarium would be nice but like someone said it would be hard to find air tight seal.

I am positive the 5 gallon buckets will do justice

Man The Hash,,and work:leaf:

Aquarium does sound cool, but hard to seal.

I was thinking if I'm ever so lucky to need more than a bucket I'd use the 55 gallon food drums with sealing rings and remove-able lids.

turkey bag could work!!! i just don't think you could go a pound per bag maybe half a pound. I am going with the 5 gallon buckets this time around. I need serious help trimming this stuff spring loaded are sticking together like i have never seen before. Thanks for all comments and suggestions.

Try PAN cooking spray if your scissors get sticky, it's natural. :eyesmoke:

Isopropyl alcohol is a trimmers friend.
Alcohol wipes work well.

As far as the aquarium idea, you can get glass and have it cut for pretty cheap. They make gasket like strips that stick to things in a variety of sizes. Cut glass>add gasket>put on top of aquarium>add a bit of weight to seal it.

I don't know if we're getting different sized bags, or have a big difference in buds... a lb. fits just fine in a cooking bag for me. The smaller ones (they come 5 to a box) fit a lb. just fine; the big ones (2 to a box) end up being way too big.

SMOKE BREAK!!!!!!!!!!!!!! well thank you for more suggestions
-i have just cleaned all of the spring loaded with alcohol and they cleaned up very nice
-I am going to spray some cooking spray on them before i get back to trimming just to see hoe it works FYI nice suggestion
-Sealing the aquarium up is a task that can be completed but there is a lot of running around and more work that need be. However it is a great idea to keep it glass and not risk smell being disrupted.
-The turkey bags I have never used one for either purpose of cooking or curing. This is why i did not know the size the reason for me saying 3/4 a pound was so i could just shake it up so its not packed in there.

I Will however try all of these methods to let everyone know what has worked the best under the conditions that i am working with.

turkey bags (5 to box, sm size) with an 18gal "roughneck" rubbermaid tote are tried and true. for curing i put 1/2-1lb (depending on strain) into t bags without tying off. put open t bags into a well sealed tote cuts down on burping each bag individually (sometimes taping seams help seal tote).

for curing my garden (4-5lbs) i usually in up utilizing 2-3 totes at once.

turkey bags ain't what they used to be but they're still the best
