As long as you are moving air at/above 130cfm, the heat buildup is not that great at all. I used a 230cfm axial fan, but in 6" duct you actually get about 165cfm +/- on a good day. I pulled air through a regular a/c filter , then about 4' of duct, then the cooltube and another 4-5' duct to the fan that was mounted above ceiling in the attic. It worked very well and I live where it gets near 100 most of the summer.
As long as the air is unrestricted and filtered just a bit ( keep a critter from getting into the fixture) all will be well.
