It is and it isn't. You do put a lot of care into them but that doesn't make it hard. Try cloning blueberry. RAGE!

Like I said,it's not a easy grow for a weed. That's all. Not hard, but not easy, for a simple weed. As for cloning blueberry, I have no need. Thanks.

I've been around a short time and at this point, over all, this weed needs alot attention. For being a weed, nearly daily attention. I don't care what the vet's say, it's not a simple grow. Constant care, daily observations, checking water, soil, run off, heat, circulation etc. For a weed, alot of care, then again you get good smoke in the end. But the care is almost relentless. It's not easy like I've read from alot of folks say. Even from all the reading I've done. That's my opinion.
No its not as simple as growing weeds but the more you try to put into it the more complicated it gets. Most checking and constant adjustment is due to trying to feed. If you start with a good pre nuted soil mix that has lime to control ph it can be as simple as droping a seed in the pot and just watering occasionally for several weeks. After a couple weeks into flower a general purpose bloom food such as tomato ferts will produce good results. When you start trying to increase a plants potential as 90% of the people do it gets complicated and costly.

Fertilizer maybe? A lot of plants fall over because they are lack nutrients and are weak. I am not sure what type of plant food is ideal for this plant, but you can start by tying the plant to a post.
could be inproper lighting or the lights being to far away, the plant will reach up for the light to get more. could be a combo of the two

Ok so I am the newest of newb's. A friend gave me a blueberry clone and said here give it a shot. So for the past 5 weeks ive been reading my ass off trying to figure out whats the next step to the best yeilds. First it was outside for 3 weeks just keeping it watered and in natural sun to see if it was going to survive and it has. Now i built a light to regulate 12/12 and I'm using 2, 2700k cfls 42 watt 2800 lumins. It smells great and is looking healthy but doesnt seem to be getting any bigger. What can or should I do to increase size and buds. whats my next step. I'm debating on buying lights and a cabinet and fans and what else would be best for this sexy little girl. I've pretty much decided to go ahead and make this a hobby and have lots of questions for the future but want to see what happens with this little girl first.

Oh by the way it was a clone from a very good strain of blueberry. One he has kept going for a while from the mother plant.

Please help I would love to at some time clone this one and keep the strain going is that possible...

first off, out side to inside is a bad practice, one day your indoor grow will be infested with bugs that YOU brought to the party.. next, get more lights or expect to yield next to nothing, cfl's are shitty at best and your totaling around 5000 lumens, to compare, my cfl grow i used 15,000 and was not happy at all with the results.. lighting could be one of many reasons your plant isnt growing. how big is the container? if its too small the plant could be root bound which also stunts growth.. whats your water like? whats your ph? a water with too high of ppm and to high or to low of ph will stop a plant in its tracks and lock-out valuable nutrients.. which bring us to; what nutes are you using? is it possible your over feeding or over watering?

dont even think bout cloning at this point dude.. your first priority is throwing down the cash and getting all the equipment needed for that one plant before even thinking about propagation.. trust me your buddy isnt the only one with blueberry clones, you wont be killing off a strain of anything even close to that and it will be better to focus on one plant first time threw..

Get a MH/HPS to mess around with MH for veg and HPS for flower good soil and nutes are a good investment to you should get a thermometer to tell the temps in the grow space and some circulation for the plants ex. a fan if your serious about making this a hobby its better to takie it one step at a time. your plants can only do with what there given so make sure you have enough space dont over water dont over feed get enough light and youll be takin off in no time.

My plants are 10 or so days old, and I didn't have the plants close to the 125w cfl (and a 14w cfl), so I moved it to be about 7" away from the light. I just had it 3" close, but was worried about burning. I have a heater in my grow tent that keeps it 80 degrees all day. I have been using a 12 / 12 cycle, and my plants are only 'bout 3" tall. That was mostly because, when I started I had the plants 2 feet away from the lamp. So just three days ago, I put a table in there to make it 7" away from the 125w cflb. Now should I put it closer? What should I put the cycle on? 18 on 6 off, to facilitate vegetative growth? For how long? then I put it on 12/ 12 right, after the plant has reached a good size? Say 2 feet? I also hope I have a female, I have two plants. 1 grew super fast, and 2 grew slow. PLease respond to this, as I am a newbie.

tldr

I started out in hydro and over ferted my plants.

they got stressed and threw male flowers

Then I tried to blame it on the variety. (Oh, Killer Queen must hermie easily.)
No one wants to admit they fucked their plants up.

If you got male flowers on your female plant I would say over 90% of the time it is due to stress (poor growing), not genetics.
The reason feminized seeds got such a bad name is bad growers stressing plants then blaming the genetics.

I'm not totally unfamiliar with the growing process but this is the first time I have had my own plants.
I have two clones of God's Gift that I just picked up yesterday- I have only watered them (one chot glass per plant at a time since I'm trying to not overwater but is a shot glass at a time not enough?) and I havent even potted them yet, theyre still in little red solo cups but the light cycle recomended to me by the farmer who sold me the clones is 24/0 instead of 18/6- is that right? I've never heard of keeping the plants at 24/0 all through veg until going 12/12

Please assist!

I purchased a few weeks ago from SeedSupreme.com. Chose stealth delivery. They came in a DVD case about 11 days later from the UK to US central time zone. Purchased with debit card and had them delivered to where I grow. Dumb, but they got here pretty fast. I have since germinated 2 and they're now in soil. Hope this helps.

I'm 19, im growing my first single mary jane plant .... sooo I am a rookie at that. I am not by any means a rookie at smoking pot are knowing the differnt qualities .... when you hand me bud that is. I think this post is so funny b/c i literally am having serperation anxiety from my plant I just wanna take it everywhere hahahah :joint: ..... It's about 5 inches tall and has been two weeks ..... what do I needa do now I put expensive fertilizer in it which seems to be doing well I work at a nursery to wich is a plus when it gets to big, but I got my plant in the window .... can it get too much sunlight? I dont need bulbs b/c my buddies grew the biggest plant ever from throwing out a roach that had a seed in it and it sprouted and he moved it to the woods and produced megga bud from it .... I just need some tips and tricks maybe to get my smoke on a little quicker or for a way to hurry up and tell atleast if im fucking with a male or female plant.:peace:
Chuck
You cannot expect to grow simply with window-filtered sunlight so YES you do need bulbs unless you put it outside. The reason your buddies got megga bud from that plant is because it was outside and not in a window

Love the post. My first plant hermied. I took a big knife to it and violently cut it to pieces. Turned the lights off and closed the door after picking up the pieces. I took a break. A few months later I opened the door. Being reminded of my bad problem yet wanting to move on. I grabbed the bucket that the plant was in. Pulled it out. There was a good size nugget stuck to tape on the bucket and dried. So I made a pipe a sparked it. That was my first. That high was so high it was silly. Of course I smoked it way to fast. It had a great taste I couldn't slow down. Then it hit me. I was on the moon. Lesson. Good things come from bad events sometimes.

As soon as my plant started showing signs of nutrient issues I assumed I had been over-feeding nutes and flushed clean water for a few days. Now I'm seeing all sorts of yelloing leaves ; _ ;
