im just say if u wanna grow some shit read up as much as u can b 4 you do it

ive read loads and decided to go with hydroponics, got some outdoor seeds to plant in my garden too incase this dont work. im lookin at an ebb and flow system i spose, will let everyone know how i get on eventually. i think after a plant or 2 ill have the basics figured and problems solved. so im going to start trying before i ask questions, seeing as ive read about a thousand answers.

I have a med-small grow room and since i installed my stealth hydro CFL system (16K lumens!), it's pretty darn warm in the room (85+ degrees), especially towards the end of my babies' day. because it's so warm in the room, i raised the lights b/c i was worried about heat stress...any comments??? i did have the lights 2-3 inches from plant and the bottom leaves (still nice and green) started to curl down...pretty sure i'm not over or under watering or over fert...

I'm 19, im growing my first single mary jane plant .... sooo I am a rookie at that. I am not by any means a rookie at smoking pot are knowing the differnt qualities .... when you hand me bud that is. I think this post is so funny b/c i literally am having serperation anxiety from my plant I just wanna take it everywhere hahahah :joint: ..... It's about 5 inches tall and has been two weeks ..... what do I needa do now I put expensive fertilizer in it which seems to be doing well I work at a nursery to wich is a plus when it gets to big, but I got my plant in the window .... can it get too much sunlight? I dont need bulbs b/c my buddies grew the biggest plant ever from throwing out a roach that had a seed in it and it sprouted and he moved it to the woods and produced megga bud from it .... I just need some tips and tricks maybe to get my smoke on a little quicker or for a way to hurry up and tell atleast if im fucking with a male or female plant.:peace:
1st: I'd strongly recommend reading a grow book or going to the FAQ on this site and reading some info. You have many questions and unfortunately what you desire on how to grow is going to contradict a bit with the way you wish to grow it.

2nd: I'd recommend planting at least 1 more seedling if possible. If you go through with this while it's growing outside it can take many months before it's ready to be sexed. Also the plant could possibly end up being a male plant.

If you really want the fastest way imo, growing indoors under 24/7 cfl or better yet HID lighting will make it quickly as possibly. You can though do it outside but 24/7 would be quicker.

I have a 4 foot mothet that was looking great last week, and then i cut about 20-25 clones and now she is looking bad. all her leaves are turning yellow and leaning over. am i overwatering? did i put to much fertilizer on her? should i put fertilizer on her? any help is appreciated.

my plants tend to grow to fast and fall over

to much light?
not enough room for roots?

any help is appreciated

Sounds to me like there may be an actual lack of light. Your plants seems to be reaching for food (light) but can't seem to get it.

Put your light closer to the plant.
But not close enough to burn the tips.

Looks like your buddies need you to share your quality bud spotting techniques. A joint with a seed in it must have been looking at the HT centerfold pics while he was buying and rolling. Btw I'm just giving you a little shit. ;-) Nothing personal. My advice to any newb, READ! Then read more then read more. Other than this site, the grow bible, and hands on will give you all the info and knowledge to grow some dank. Everyones got the "best" way but there's really only a few things that are a must. After that it's what works best for you.

also, get a fan in there.(so a lite wind is moving on them).... They are not getting the wind that they would getting outside. This will help them get stronger and keep them from falling over.
this is very true. an oscillating fan throughout a plant's life will help it grow sturdier stems and branches because it simulates the natural world.

i'm pretty sure nitrogen, the first number of the NPK ratio on nutrient bottles is the number responsible for the plant's stem strength and growth, but you still want a good balance of all three.

the truth is we're growing mj, and we're growing it for the buds, so we pump up our plants with crazy flowering nutrients to get those big buds, and we happen to pump so much and so well that it weighs too much for the plant pretty often. so you may even have a nice balance of nutrients, but with really dank big buds coming in that your plant is having trouble holding. tying it up is normal i hear.

Really good thread. I am on my first grow but I did prepare myself well with lot and lots of reading and research. I am however aware that nothing teaches you better than actual growing. I can definately agree that I spend lots of time thinking about the girls!! Hahaha!! New Daddy!!!

Good thread, very helpful!!
