Clones Vs Seeds

I dont want to be a broken record here but thats insane. And his genetics are bullshit. All these new candy, cookie, cake, strawberry, etc are fucking lame ass new trends that are wiping out all the good, elite, old school genetics. This guy should be slapped in the face.

Mathew Riot used to do the same shit. I think he dropped his prices but hes still a bitch and the breeders doing this kind of shit should die.

Being a former clone dealer, clones go for 15$ tops. Thats single. Trays drop that price down. Whatever strain. Period.
Hell yes ..Takes me years to get the plant to get tall 3yrs..after that plants get 9 to 12 ft. That is just to acclimate to here..and get get the Bull Shit out From 3 to 5ft plant to 12ft Then plant back to Normal

Someone providing “verified and pest/disease tested” clones? Who May I ask? Refunds if they give me pest/disease?
To much user error for that.

Any half decent grower knows to isolate first to double check. I’d prefer validation of pheno before anything. Also might I add. I would never buy online. Not yet at least. Your eyes go a long ways when it come to picking a good cut out the bunch. But that just in my book.

Do you have much experience with Mr. Kushman? I do,Very hit & miss genetics. Not bad but for the price i expected better quality.

I'd have everything the have if they shipped to the USA.
Register with a parcel forwarding service in Europe. Then ship the seeds through the service. That should work fine, and you can always have a trial run with a small shipment.

Shipping/redirection costs should be minimal for the seed envelopes.

I've ordered directly from them (inside EU), and their shipping method is completely stealthy and discreet. Should not raise any eyebrows. In my case the packaging was quite makeshift, which didn't really bother me. Just don't expect packaging as fancy as with Dutch Passion.

This shit would be boring AF if everyone did everything the same way.
Goals change. Tastes change. Standards change. Its just the natural course of growing and the forums in general.

Whether hunting seeds or sifting thru clones, when a grower is insprired it shows in their end product and likely their attitude as well.

I'm growing some F7's of something I've been working on for 3 years. I got over 90% uniformity from seeds last run. I'm doing one more run and then I'm going to consider it stable enough to consider an IBL. Nobody is spending 3 years these days which is why there is so much variation from many of these seed outfits.
Nice! I've got a cross I've been working for almost 3 years that is on F6. I figure I'll take it out another generation or 2 and call it. it helps that one half of the cross was already extremely stable. even my f6 are very uniform.

@xtsho

How do you guys do the crossing? Do you keep a male, a female, or just male pollen? Or is it all female with fem pollen used for the crossing?

Also, do you breed by back-crossing or is it actual filial breeding down the line with picking (possibly) new mothers/fathers for each generation?

I think I might pay tens of euros or even 100-200€ for an excellent cut of super silver haze or something. A pack of seeds costs more than 100€ and with all the variety in that strain I wouldn't mind paying someone to do the selection. I mean Inprobably wouldn't, but I might.

The irony is, some of the prettiest, insane bag appeal weed out their is totally mediocre smoke. Take a close look at the frost on some of those elite clones that look totally white with trichomes-the trichomes have massive long stalks, but the actual number of trichomes isn't any different from any other good weed. The potency is in the head, and even that varies from plant to plant. How a plant looks isn't a good indicator of potency. Now if your intent is to take some good pictures, by all means have at the elite clones. I think most people would have more fun with a pack of say, a Compound Apples and Bananas cross, than with a $1500 clone because the pack is like a dozen lottery tickets. Those kind of chucks are fun if you go in with zero expectations and then let yourself be surprised if you find something interesting.
It took me awhile but at this point I can confidently say that appearance really means very little (though ofc it does sell weed like a mofo). The prettiest buds I've ever seen were often just ok, and vice versa.

I use a male and a female, save male pollen for later and also reverse female plants for feminized pollen to make feminized seeds. I haven't done backcrossing yet just filial.

I'm not a breeder just someone playing around.

same. I would like to do some back-crossing but have not. At this point I have pollen in the freezer and seeds from each filial generation in storage, so theoretically I could back cross to each original parent but could also back cross to any particular step of the process. I just don't have the time or space at the moment.
