Citizen Bubba's law abiding grow box

And this is why i say there is a huge opening in the market, i remember when everyone would have chimed in, Full Spectrum Labs. But sadly they have closed due to being attacked by the DEA (wtf sense does that make?) and ever since then no one has come to the forefront of this market. I imagine a Google search will turn up something, but it should be known who to go to.....

I don't disagree.

Check this out - a mobile service aimed at dispensary testing.... Kind of pricey for regular Joe, $145 minimum.

I have another question.... surprise surprise huh? :-P

Is it true that you know the bud is cured in the jars when you stop seeing condensation on the glass? I read this somewhere... But I don't see how it could be correct unless I way over dried my harvest. Because I have yet to see any condensation in the jars at all.... even after leaving them unopened for the first two days they were in the jars. I only dried for 3 days, but I did have a healthy draft moving through the cab to keep up with the odor.... What ya'll think? Total time since chop is 7 days. I pulled the jars out and burped them last night and took a pic of the sand worm bud... amazing how much the shrink. I weighed again also and at present I am at 20% wet weight or just over 8 oz. ec told me 90% weight from water, so I reckon I'll lose some more weight before they're done.

If you see condensation on the glass, you either need to get the buds out of the jar quickly and let them further dry, or you need to get your jar out of the sun. The only time i have ever had any condensation on a jar was when i left it sitting in the direct sunlight, not even a jar full of moist buds cause this for me.
They buds look dry to me, but i can't feel them. You have gotten enough disp buds at this point i think to know the difference between dry and too dry, and possibly even moist. Throw a bud in the pipe and smoke it, this will tell you the most about the cure, dryness of the bud etc.

Looks killer by the way, congrats, 8 zips under LEDs is something to be proud of, esp for your first run.

My thoughts! Next time remove the draft when drying if it only takes 3 days! You need to provide an environment that will give you at least 50% humidity and 65-70 degrees temp to dry properly! I know this is hard for everyone, especially here in CO but if its drying in 3 days, I think a humidifier needs to be brought in, with heavy ventalation also! with a humidifier you should constanly be exchanging the air! Ideally 7 days would be great for a drying period and 14 days would be optimum! But it's hard as fuck to maintain so good luck!

You have got to be stoked about that. That's medicine not a lot of folks have too.

I agree, thanks. I had to run the fan because it also pulls a draft for my mother box, which is occupied. Point taken though. I selected a mid grade bud from each plant for a smoke test. Definitely has a ways to go on curing as it didn't grind as easily as dispensary bud and still tastes a bit rough. I ground both and let them set overnight in some sealed containers. Tried the sativa first this morning... very purple bud when broken up. Mild smoke, pretty sure a CBD effect - got a little face numbing going on. Then about an hour later I smoked a bowl of the Indica - I don't know about CBD in this one, but it got me plenty high. Oh, the sativa smells like a citrus stank, the Indica smells like buttered popcorn - no kidding.

So, it still has some moisture to lose. I hope it winds up at least at 5 ounces.... that would be equivalent to what I spent on the bulk of the equipment in my cab. Would be nice to break even on the 1st grow  Oh and I'm pretty sure I will wind up in the .25 to .40 g/w performance range on this grow. I know I can improve this with the correct strains and using a scrog with the LEDs. However, 6 or 7 ounces every 3 months or so will meet my demand..... making tincture and oil takes a bunch of weed, time to get growin.

Hi all. This will be the last update in this thread. I want to thank everyone that helped me, it meant a great deal to me... I mean, having a harvest of buds is nice, but having a group of folks willing to help you just for your asking, that's special.

I re-weighed the take and it hasn't lost anymore weight... therefore it is my learned (lmao) opinion that the buds are fully cured. So, final take was 8.6 ounce harvest of buds plus the trim which gave me 6 grams of bubble. I definitely dried to quickly and will fix that next time, but the buds taste and smell ok, just think I could have done a better job.

Now for the payoff. I fuckin-A found the high CBD pheno, it was the sativa gal just like I thought from the first pre flower. In fact, I found a significantly better pheno than the 303Seeds guys did... and my cut is also more potent than CBDCrews gear.... 1:1 ratio CBD:THC, 8.16% CBD and 7.6% THC. That's straight up medicine ya'll.

I'm attaching 303's original analysis report and my 2 reports.

Not only did I achieve my CBD goal, but I got a nice bonus.... the Indica gal turned out to not have any CBD, as I suspected, but what she does have is 21% THC That's pretty good yeah?

Ok.... who wants a cut? Actually, I have changed my mind and will not be pursuing a perpetual grow as I don't think I will need that much meds - gonna do fem seed runs primarily from here on for CBD stock. So, I have lovely bonsai mothers for both strains that I would like to gift to the folks at da Treehouse in the hopes they will take care of them... I know at some point my travel schedule will kill them....

Here endeth this grow, peace be the journey.

Such an amazing job for a first time grow...or an any time grow really!

REP for high numbers!

Again, great job. If you don't mind me asking, how much did they charge you for the analysis?

I just saved those two reports, WOW. What an awesome combo of plants and medicinal properties. I've still got that male you gave me and I'm going to cut some clones from him this weekend. I'm hoping to cross him with 303 Happy Time. :)

Edited to commend you on the donation as well. What a way to keep the genetics alive and contribute the community.

Thanks brother. The tests were $64/test including tax. Kind of pricey, but considering that I dropped it off at noon or so on Thursday and they sent me results this morning... I don't mind paying for great service.

Very nice...thanks for the info, brother.

I am going to have to save a few of my favorite nugs to get tested in the future.

Hope your day is going well, Bubba.

You are totally welcome to both... thing is I'm terrible at cloning and starting seeds... I think it's a lack of attention... If the Treehouse wants the mothers, I'm sure hey could do a much better job of producing you a good cut.

excellent grow and finish bro! how much total wattage was used? divide watts by yield to get your final #s. this will give you a baseline and goal for your next run. well done!

Thanks ec. The lighting watts at the plug is ~ 590 watts (390 watts at plug from the LEDs the rest from T5s), so I figure my efficiency was .4 g/w.

Well done Bubbagineer!

Thank you for having your cuts tested, that is really the key to successful selections!

We're working on isolating the CBD pheno and stabilizing this line in regular seed form now.

Thank you again for sharing and happy grows!
