Day 26 and frostin up. Next time I'm doin a ScrOG. I ended up following 420Cs suggestion and pulled the two tops towards each other, offset so they both feed off the center LED. I think they like the Dyna-gro and Botanicare tea combination I'm feeding them, next feeding will be full strength.

Imagine if all of those seeds you originally planted ended up girls. Where would you have put them all? :D Things are looking AWESOME, Bubba!

Thanks guys!

So I've started brewing compost tea.... in typical fashion I went out and bought some equipment to compensate for my noobness. I liked the Treme guys logo (Fungal Dominance) so I bought the bucket and pumps and stuff in a kit, probably don't need all that stuff but the fountain head is cool. I also went ahead and bought 10 runs of Treme's tea (pre-packaged in flow through bags)... I guess I won't need the Alaska soil and worm castings that I bought for awhile, though I wonder if I couldn't add that stuff too?... Anyway, the Treme tea says to only give 2 cups of tea per week in a root drench. I was under the impression that you could feed tea at every watering... I was planning to dilute the 2 cups of tea in a gallon of water and mix in the Dyna-gro pro-tekt and bloom juice and feed this every 3 days.... but hesitant now - what do y'all think?

They seem to like what I've been feeding them so far... (i.e. Dyna-Gro bloom/pro-tekt diluted in a gallon of instant Botanicare Pure Blend Tea). I recall eyecandi advising me to boost PK nutes in week 4/5 through 6/7... I think. Would this be in addition to the Dyna-Gro? If so, I have some dry roots organics phos bat guano (0-7-0) and seabird guano (0-12-0). I was thinking of adding some to the tea, would I need to go with a 1/4 dose like I did when starting the Dyna-Gro? Also - sorry for 20 questions - should I add Ca/Mg to the tea?

My mothers are doing well, thanks to all for the cloning advice.

with more beneficials (fungal and microbial), you can back off the synthetic ferts a bit (synth nutes/high salts have a detrimental affect on microbial life) as the higher colony populations will be more efficient at processing. personally, I would not mix dyna with the tea, use the tea by itself and the synth ferts seperately. this allows the microbes to do their thing in between getting battered by the synth ferts. early flowering- tea->water->fert ; mid flower - tea->fert ; mid-late flower - tea->tea ; late flower - tea->water.

guano - yes, add it to the tea brew. each guano type imparts a slightly different taste profile to the finished buds (it's an interesting taste test session if anyone wants to give this one a go sometime. Bat giano vs Seabird guano - different subtypes/regions also impart slight taste changes).

looking great sir!

Thanks so much for the help and kind words!!! Brewin up tea for tomorrow. I'm at day 32 of flowering.. the 303Seeds guys call for 53 to 70 days.... So, that puts me mid-flower I reckon. I will plan to give the tea root drench every other day and alternate with Dyna-gro feedings, for another week or two and then will taper off as ec suggests.

On the guano, I will give one girl bat poo and the other one seabird turds. And I think I'll dose the tea with Ca/Mg - cant hurt.

Brewin me some Trueno tea.... instead adding everything straight in to the bucket and then filtering afterward, I put everything in a section of pantyhose. Think that degrades the juice?

Plants are diggin that funky light. Also, the 303seeds guys told me to watch for maroon hairs which might indicate a high CBD pheno... Looks like they both fit the bill, though the Indica gal has scads of maroon (at least it looks maroon to me) and the sativa not as much.

:peace:

Have done it with panty hose many times, works great. Keeps friends and family guessing too when you have some panty hose laying around ;-)
Teas are easy, add some bennies and fungi, food and brew. Millions of ways to do it, none are wrong. Like i said before i really just throw in what i have laying around.
Looking great! Making me consider the Blumats.

Yeah, the Blumats are cool. Between feedings, the plants suck down about 3 gallons per day... you can almost watch the level meter drop, but the drain trays stay dry.... Main thing to know about them IMHO is that small dial movements can make a big change, so never adjust more than 1/2 click a day. Also, never let the res run dry and introduce air into lines. That's some tough won knowledge, hope it helps if you go that way. Mine have been dialed in for a few weeks... alls I've done is pump 5 gallons up every few days. Autopilot kicks ass :bigjoint: (knock on wood).

Recent changes have me considering new options, this is certainly one. They are gravity fed correct? I already have a 55 gallon barrel 2 feet or so above the floor so it would be fairly easy to introduce these into my system i believe. I fear that i will just stop checking on the plants, put them in there and check every couple of weeks. But honestly if that worked, i might not be so abject to the idea. Set a few small plants in big containers in there and check them 3-4 times a flower cycle, too easy for top quality results though.

OMG, awesome progress, congrats for keeping them alive and healthy. Have you started a countdown yet? Your grow is a testament to the effectiveness of LED lights, hoping to see some serious bud weight with those high CBD plants.:weed: Way to grow!

Day 43 of flowering. 303 calls for 58 to 70 days. I'm planning to stop the Dyna-gro this week, but continue to feed compost/guano tea every other day this week, then straight RO H2O until harvest. What y'all think?

Got buds growin on top of other buds and a freaky brain looking thing growing out of the sativa phenos main cola. Smells awesome, very fuelly but with an overtone of fermenting citrus... and powerful... have to pre-spray the whole house before cracking the cab lol.

Also, does anyone one have a recommendation for a gadget to watch the trichomes? My camera can't quite pull it off.

I think the "brain" is the led bleaching the bud from too much light, very similar to what happens when they get too close to my hps.
I can only use a jewelers loop to see trichs, i cant focus using the little microscopes they sell, luckily i tried it in store before buying.
I would do a straight water flush for a full 2 weeks, no guano in the tea at least, but i cut out everything thing personally, just water for 2 weeks.
My guesses on harvest is about 2 weeks for the one with more red hairs, but more like 3 or so for the one with the "brain". Just my thoughts, one of the toughest things to judge is when to start flushing.
