Chocolope Phenos

Hey all, I got a chocolope goin, she is about 8-9 weeks old from regular seed, IE, NON feminized seed. I have grown the choc before but this is the first time I have seen this particular pheno.

She is definitely on the indica side in structure, wide leafs that look more like basil than cannabis. Extremely short, about 4-5 inches tall. Her stem is nice and thick, with all of her 6 nodes crammed within these 4-5 inches.

Some pics:

I have heard rumblings of a higher than normal potent pheno known as "mini choc" and so far atleast, this thick lil thing seems to fit the profile.

Any info is appreciated & many thanks in advance.

I don't know dude but my cannalope hazes looked like that too. I was trying to find out wtf was going on because it's a 100% sativa. The three more indica lookin ones in the middle are the cannalopes and the others are other sativa strains.

:evil:I picked up some chocolope from Attitude by the seed and it looks nothing like this..judging by the smell what I had...included a heavy dose of AK47...I picked up two seeds of chocolope...and it was nothing like this structure wise, on the other hand I have bought top dollar Sensi and no problem...is there a bad apple at Attitide or at DNA? I have had not problems with Attitude wirh the exception of a certain seed bank, so just out of cusiositity what is the problem DNA?...the other problem I had was when Sensi shorted me a seed (bubble packed) so there was no problem getting things squared away..with the exception of lost of time...it took me a while to let the fact that someone at sensi did this but they have the product that eventually keeps one coming back for more...not to mention I was given an extra seed...but DNA is nothing to write home about so kiss my ass DNA. PS..I kept hearing reports of the smell and buzz and it was nothing like what I was reading...finally some pictures of young Chocolope plants...nothing like what I have.

Cannalope Haze is not 100% sativa it's a hybrid and there is always a possibility of an indica dominant expression. No matter what anyone says I'd love to see someone explain how a 100% sativa flowers in 9 weeks.

You grew out 2 seeds guy. Just because you didn't find the best representation of that strain from 2 seeds is no way indicative of the quality of DNA's strains. I've grown several packs of several DNA strains and they definitely have some quality gear. I can't stand people who grow 1 or 2 seeds and bash a whole company, at least grow out a whole pack before you start bashing people. Breeding is not a perfect science, no 2 seeds are exactly alike.

The Cannaloupe is Cindy 99......Cindy 99 is bred with Jack, which has NL in it, and tends to be a pretty dominant in relation to the strain's stature traits. It also tends to heavily influence the flowering time. So basically Cannaloupe or C-99 is a mostly sativa strain that exhibits many indica traits.

Ive also heard Cannalope is actually Cindy or crossed w/her and my squatty little 52 day Choc looked extremely similar ta Cindy, I think I had the "Cindy pheno!" Ive also read that DNA lost the original Choc Thai mama, so supposedly the lope is all S1 now which would explain a lot more variaition in the phenos. My bushy little pheno had less than a 20% stretch but had much thinner sativa lookin fingers, and her high, smell, taste -all fruity sativa goodness! No ceiling at all and it could def cause some freak outs in folks without much tolerance! Only thing Indy about her was her short branchy structure and finish time which was under 8 weeks! Unfortuantely she was "the one that got away" I lost while I was on an involuntary "vacation," and NO ONE I gifted to still had it when I found out! :wall: Oh well this is makin me wanna go pheno huntin for some more lope!

Here's a link to a diary I did on her. Def some great chocolatey info and lotsa flicks
