I Feel Your Pain Brother Puff.Im In The Same Boat I Would Love To Build My Own Led But The More I Read The More Confused I Get
Glad it's not just me. Guess you can't teach an old dawg new tricks...

I believe a new series might be heading out from vipar in mid to late February, i cant wait to see whats in store. But i've seen area 51 show solid results as well.
Sweet, love what you've been doing with the current vipars. What ever happened to curly? That guy had some monsters. Please keep me posted on the new models.

Thanks guys, it's our first so we're pretty stoke.. unnerving, but I am just ready for 'em to get here!

Brother Dawg... Buddy Puff...!! we could build our own panels! don't dishearten yourselves like that. I know guod's intense level of knowledge has always thrown me wayyyyy the fuck out there in "..........uhm...what?" world, but all I have done is follow and read the Veteran's posts on RIU since I have looked into panels.. and growing for that matter, there's so much shit on here its outrageously educational- it just promotes the legalization exponentially in itself.

Yea.. there could always be more information on the more...basic things.. but we gotttt thisss. Stardust.. Guod... Eraserhead... Hilo..thank you for all your continuous input- hell... even Fran knows a thing or two ;)

Brings me to another point... you guys all contribute quite a bit here.. and I am all about giving credit and sourcing- You guys rock. Fuckin RIU.
Couldnt have said it better! Thanks for the vote of confidence. One day I'll take a stab at diy, probably wont be any time soon though.

Yeah, the apache is a workhorse. It has about a 170w draw off 120 1w chips. The xml is about 135w draw but uses mostly 3w chips plus 4 10w xml chips. I think the xml uses 90 degree lenses whereas the apache uses 14 degree.

Damn!! alpha and omega over here.. lol. Would be good culprits to figure out the penetration value of assorted diodes..

Well, I'm absolutely flattered you'd have my name alongside the likes of SDS, Fran, EH and Guod.

I received an answer to my e-mail, very prompt service.

 • The array itself is completely customizable: "Yes this is a strength of our innovative device."
 • "You have around 10Watts of heat to dissipate with the heatsink, the best is doing test (e.g. with a 100x30x30mm heatsink or somethink like that)"
 • The lens can be removed and the array sold separately (or if you choose to keep it:"The FWHM is 55°"
Customize your array, get your double-sided adhesive, and slap it onto your heatsink. (Don't forget to buy a power plug :))

Also, attached was a PDF: "- Please find attached an example of product using the full module, the specifications are the same as the OEM module."
It's in French and I can't attach it for whatever reason. PM Me and I can e-mail it if anyone is interested...

Ah! The Apache! Hell yes!

Hey Puff, getting your "sea legs" back I hope ;). That's not glass on the front of the Apache, right? That's like a lensing system, right?

Both lights have excellent penetration. Alpha and omega just became the nicknames for my lights.

Sounding like an awesome led solution. Are you going to try them out?

My legs are still a tad wobbly, geez its only been a few months out of growing but I kind of feel like im starting all over again. I keep wanting to tinker with shit even though I know its best to let them chill and veg undisturbed at this point. No, thats not glass on the apache. Its the lens, think its acrylic but not positive. I Know you are an advocate of removing glass covers. Apparently you can take off the cover and and somehow make the lense 50 degrees. They told me how but recommended only doing that if the light is for veg-mothers only and you want better coverage.

? Haven't heard of a 240w all white panel from apache? Did you mean the AT120w on their website or is this something new you've heard about? I haven't talked to them for a few months so maybe I
Just haven't heard yet? I know they were making a larger unit like in the.400w range and some led bars, but haven't heard about a 240w all white. Yeah, I plan on getting another apache, whether its a new model or another like I have.

The new a51 should hold me over for a while though, so my next apache wont come to the family until around summer/fall. Maybe their new stuff will be out by then.

Ha, you better be in the next competition! Maybe you'll even be alliwed to use your inda-pontoon?

Cherry pie!!!!!! Never had it.. Lol heard of it. Where do I get it... Know it's in the girl scout cookie genetics, probley what gives her her famous smell and taste.
cherry pie is gdp- og kush-durban poison
gsc is gdp- og- cherry kush and then back crossed with og again

both are super fire in the 18-20%thc range but both also contain high cbd in the 3-5% range which is phenomenal for genetic with that high tch. mine are almost rooted and i hope to have 20 in veg by next week. hope to start my first journal with them as well but that will require follow through on my part haha.

Veg Day 9. The Cherry Pie are loving life. The Ken's GDP, not quite as much.

The Pies are on the LEFT and KGDP on the RIGHT. You can see some of the dying yellowing leaves on the bottom of the KGDP, I've been freaking out over them. I'm guess they just didn't take to the transplant as well. I clipped off a couple of the bad leaves and will wait a few more days to remove the last 2-3 bad leaves. Really hope they start to pickup up soon because compared to the Pies they are lagging. It's still early on in veg so I have faith they will pick up. The new growth is looking good on them, just a little slow probably from the transplant shock. This week should see a lot better growth. And the Pies are just looking better and better each time I peek on them.

I need to get a new fan in there for air circulation. My clip-on died a couple days ago and I haven't gotten a new one yet.

Since turning on the apache, I notice that the plants are happier in general. They really respond to it.

Next update in a few days. Let me know if you have any questions, and comments are always welcomed and appreciated. Thanks for all the love so far everyone. Peace and happy growing.

Thanks for sharing the strain details. I'm pretty excited about both of them. Feel free to post some pics up in here otherwise drop a link to your journal whenever you get it up.

Isn't the Ken's under the Advanced panel? LOL I'm such an Advanced hater, and that model panel in particular, this is just more ammo for me if it's true. When PSU (finally) comes to steal your good stuff, I'm gonna pay him 20 bucks to smash it with a hammer :o.

I was wondering, do plants tend to get shocky when you transplant them into coco? Looking good nonetheless and thanks for sharing this Puff!
