FYI -- I forgot to mention I've had to solder a bypass on all 3 of my "cheap" leds due to one or more of the leds going out. So being handy with electronics is useful/required at some point unless you get a good warranty with a company that's still around to honor it.

Good choice. No matter what lights you get in the future. Those leds will be able to veg or flower plants, even keep mother plants under for years to come!

I love the reaction plants have when an led is plugged in! Within hours they get real happy and start leaf praying. Best advice is move the led up and down, see what you can learn with it. In flowering, drop it right down, but if you get bleached buds or hash tips, move it back slightly until that stops. You will find the sweet spot then. Every led has a sweet spot (:
Yeah mine is about ummm 12 inches is my sweet spot for every plant I e grown they love leds I use veg/bloom during my flower get good yeld

Once again I want to thank k everyone for all the imput. I did end up ordering a MeizhI 450w. it was 109.00 with free shipping. I really figured I could not go wrong with that price. I received it last night and it appears to be solid and it looks very nice but who cars if it does not work the way we want them to. it is very bright and I think it will be awesome for one plant in a DWC. I am happy with it but if something goes wrong I will let everyone know. I can't wait to see what these two do together!

I got a meizhi reflector 600 and 900 and I'm happy with them. Mine are the old versions tho, without the veg/bloom switches.

Hello all,
am I just dumb to be looking into a cheap 300w LED light? I have been looking at the Mars Hydro, Viperspectra, amd King. I am planing on using it in a small clost grow with one plant in a DWC. is it worth buying cheap for this? it will also be my first DRC grow. thanks.
On sale. Cheap but quality 300w Galaxyhydro led im using. It's dimmable up to 100% brightness. I'm growing 2 plants under them in a 4x2 tent. Excellent results no issues. Shipped to my home in 2 days.

I should at least get the brand right -- I bought two of the 100W Timber kits. Just got them today. Can't wait to get the frame materials and get them hung.

Haha that actually had me confused when I first saw that. I was thinking "northern light???"

I'm interested in building my own cob lamp but building the frame would be a challenge being that my tool selection is shit right now.

I am nooking at the ones below 150.00

I am looking to spend under 150.00 for a light with minimal heat
For the area you're using and that price a 600 way hid is the only thing that will adequately Conner your source. Youd need 4 of this 300 waste Mars hydro panels to cover that grow area and you won't get the 7 foot depth.

for a 2 by 4 grow area you would get better coverage with 2 of these https://www.amazon.com/MEIZHI-Reflector-300W-Light-Spectrum/dp/B01J17UGUQ/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_sims?ie=UTF8. I grow in a 2ft by 4 ft by 8 foot closet using one of these https://www.amazon.com/MEIZHI-Reflector-300W-Light-Spectrum/dp/B01J17UGUQ/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_sims?ie=UTF8 so im not promoting any LED brand but if the published data is accurate these leds are more effiecient than mars or vipar spectrum.with about the same SPD
Lol that is no where near enough light for a 2x4
