Can Led lights Produce?

Dude. It's a little like my blurple light. It's advertised as a 135w light. Then goes on to say it's actual power draw is only 90w. I don't go saying it's a 135w light when I know it's about 2/3 of that.

Not having a stab at ya. Just saying.
to each their own. I really dont care anymore. This thread was supposed to be about whether or not led lights are good or bad for growing. Somehow Johnny Laurence turned it into a wattage thread.

What about them?

Obvious sarcasm was obvious.

My suggestion was better than the verbal reach around you were offering.

Nicely built? I'm sorry, what???

The irony - it's palpable.

They are 23 watters. I use diffuser removed, 100 watt equivalent A19 LEDs in my veg tent. They use 14.5 watts, so I refer to them as 15 watters. I don't try to trick myself into thinking I have 200 watts in each corner, when I only have 30.

Something else to consider. The 185 watt light you are using is equivalent to 185 watts.
How dare u call a 14.5 watt a 15 watter. you should be ashamed of yourself. MY light on the other hand is the new state of art 1000 watt equivalent led that only uses 185 watts. It saves me money and packs a punch.

Reach around?

Im like Daniel LaRusso and your like... Well, u like hugs and reach arounds from men. not my style but i may know a guy. How long have u been out of the closet?

All BS aside, keep in mind that the plants are happy in veg because it doesn't take too much to keep them happy when they are small or in veg. Flowering will be a completely different story and those that have experience will know to what I am referring. You may certainly flower with that light but please remember to not be disappointed with the harvest that that light will produce as several people have tried to inform you. Best wishes and good luck.

Get it straight - your light is a 185 equivalent watt light. It's not equivalent to 1000 watts, it's equivalent to about 1/6th of that.

The light you own will not even perform equivalent to a 400 watt HID, let alone 1000 watts. You're tripping.

Really? I got $80 a piece for my 90 watt P150s on craigslist. That Mars was probably good for fifty bucks on the used market.

Same here. I was using two "300watt" Galaxy Hydro units. The fluffy airy bud they grew....Ill never use them again. I wouldn't want to sell them or even give them away. I don't want somebody getting pi$$ed off after their grow like I did. Then getting mad at me because I hooked them up with a huge POS grow light. That I knew was a POS to begin with. Bad karma all the way around.

The shelf they will sit....

Your light is small apples. probably growing woody beanie shit. My 1000 watt light however will outperform your tiny little grow any day. Its out performing yours right now. you just dont know it cuz your stuck in left field.

Yes, the lights I sold on CL were 90 watt blurples, similar to your 135 watt blurple. Same tech. Most likely the same no name(or Epistar) diodes. I sold them cause, just like your lights, they're inefficient and I knew I could do better.

Dude, you don't own a 1000 watt light. You own a 135 watt light. i don't see how you're not getting that at this point.

I run 900 watts of Cree/Citizen cobs in one of my rooms. Yeah, my tiny little grow. Perhaps you should learn not to talk shit and argue when people are trying to educate you.

left field - good one

People here were trying to teach you. You instead chose to stick your fingers in your ears.

"LA-LA-LA-LA-LA-LA-LA-LA . . . "

"My light is better than yours" - funny stuff

what do you think is optimal w/sq ft with cobs?

i'm thinking about putting 480w of cob with a 315led in a 3x4. too much?
I run right at the low point - about 30 watts per. 30 to 50 is what's recommended.

Yeah, I would say that's a little too much. What is that? *grabs calculator* 65

I would say cut the amount of cobs by half. 4 cobs @ 50w each would be nice for that space. 315 in the middle, with 2 cobs per end.

What chips are you running?

Coming from a guy who has cob kits as a profile picture. Your not a little bias are you? I agree if it doesn't state the wattage don't buy. I would never buy the unkown.
yes, im totally biased against sellers who dont provide the specs necessary for customers to make informed decisions (or provide misleading specs)

not ashamed of that! were still undoing the damage of the wildly inflated claims of the first waves of LEDs. the light you posted looks 10x better than the 90W UFOs i bought in 2007 that i was promised would replace a 400W HPS

im that guy too. less trouble, its just really easy for someone who doesnt have full time to take care of a garden to be running on the bleeding edge of PPFD. lower light levels = higher gpw, less nute problems and overall maintenance
