What kind of penalties are in line for a standard bedroom grow op consisting of maybe 10-20 plants. I would like to here some stories. Please include what state you are from.:wall:

GrowTech

stays relevant.
Varies state to state, county to county - I would check NORML, but most people here in California who grow have their cards at least, and if they are in compliance with the laws then the police tip their hats and say good day! :)

IN goes by the # of plants you have and not the size... penalties are harsh as fuck.. one local grower just recieved 30 years for 400 plants...possible parole after 15.... but we have an AMAZING norml lawer in the state... has helped out a few people i know personally... the best thing to do if you live in a state where its not legal to grow your meds is to keep your numbers low and just make them bigger.. its easier for a good lawyer to get your sentenced lowered or some charges dropped with a few larger plants than a bunch of shorter ones.. its easier to convince a judge that the 5 - 5 ft tall plants you have were for yourself than the 50 1 ft plants... the more plants you have to more it looks like a cash crop grow.. where as a few plants, even if they are huge, can still be passed as personals....

i'd agree with simpson as that generally makes sense, if you're going to be growing *illegally* the a few larger plants are better.

12 or 13...i know RI just passed a bill allowing it MMJ, i wonder how many it will take before the FED realizes it should be decrimininalized

i really think, even with obama in office, it will be a while before it gets legallized or decriminalized across the board.. the fed government, regardless of how much they waste busting medical marijuana operations, still makes more money with the "war on drugs".. greedy poiticians are pocketing tons of money that is funded for research into the affects of MJ.. not to mention, as i said, raging a "war" they already know they can not win... its just a matter of time before it gets legalized.. but i really think we still have a LONG road ahead of us... with the mixed opinions of obama already, it would be suicide for him to try to legalize it if he plans on getting a second term... which, by the way people have reacted to him, seems like it will be a stretch to happen anyways..

That would prob get a person about a class A Misdemeanor or a State Jail Felony with it jumping a notch or two considering the total weight and/or if they can sorta infer you was intent on distribution or having it within 1,000 feet of a drug free zone. School hospital maybe etc. Under 2 oz is a Class B so they dont have much room to work their way up the ladder to a capital offense (just kidding). But you be a real old person when you got out of jail Bunch based on your prior criminal history..how the DA looks at it...hiring the right lawyer..going off to rehab blah blah blah.

you have to think big business, paper companies, dupont, logging companies, so on & so forth would be destroyed by the legalization.

By that I mean hemp, hemp seed oil(dupont will hurt), hemp paper products(newspaper comp. are heavily invested in land with trees on it as well as companies that make paper plates, bowls, etc).

Its not that they dont want to, they'll(meaning our congr-ass-men and woman wont get their pockets lined by these companies any more. The country will move forward by leaps and bounds but they wont.

not to sound too much like an ass but no sh**.. anyone other than yourself knowing, much less seeing your grow is asking for trouble.. that's like the first rule of growing, you are the only one who knows about it....
